According to AestheticGamer – the same source who leaked the possibility of a launch between January and March 2021 – via Silent Hill game reveal, AestheticGamer delved into Resident Evil 8’s cross-gen status, as well as speculating that August will likely be the latest the game is revealed. However, AestheticGamer believes Resident Evil 8’s reveal is more likely to occur in June 2020.

Between AestheticGamer, other insiders, and commenters, rumors say the most likely reveal date for Resident Evil 8 is June 4, 2020. AestheticGamer claims to have received his information from individuals who work with studios involved with both Resident Evil 8 and Silent Hill discussions, and the trusts their sources and believes they are in a position to know the information they provided.
The Resident Evil franchise has received a wealth of revitalized hype with the release of the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes. With a Resident Evil 4 remake in the works, it’s not outlandish to recent cancellation of the PlayStation 5 makes a June 4 reveal of Resident Evil 8 far less likely. Whether AestheticGamer’s sources are providing misinformation or not remains to be seen, but the Twitter is a trusted source of information for a reason.
