Ahead of Resident Evil Village's multiplayer mode and Deluxe Edition have leaked online. Speculation regarding the future of Resident Evil's online offerings has been in circulation for quite some time. It especially picked up steam last week when Capcom opened registration for a mysterious RE-centric multiplayer beta.

Unfortunately, this isn't Capcom's first time having to contend with leaks. It's not the first instance of Resident Evil Village details making the rounds prematurely, either. Even before the game's announcement last summer, insiders let loose cursory bits of information about the setting, characters, and creatures. And spoiler-filled intel hit the web late last year, following a ransomware attack on Capcom's networks. In the weeks after the hack, the internet became a minefield of spoilers related to RE Village's plot and character arcs.

The latest leak comes courtesy of Humble Bundle (via Gematsu) because details on RE Village's multiplayer, Deluxe Edition, and preorders bonuses are live on the storefront. RE Village's online mode, according to Humble Bundle, has been dubbed Re:Verse and will come bundled with every version of the survival horror title. And there are at least two iterations for players to choose from - Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition. The former boasts the story campaign and Re:Verse. Preordering either will net customers access to Mr. Raccoon Weapon Charm, Survival Resources Pack, and RE: Village's Mini Soundtrack. For $71.52 USD, fans can grab the Deluxe Edition, which also includes the Trauma Pack. The contents of the pack are as follows: "Samurai Edge" weapon, "Mr. Everywhere" accessory, special safe room background music, screen filter, and other unspecified items.

Humble Bundle's listing makes no note of what Re:Verse will entail. Thus, it's unclear as to whether the online offering will boast traditional game modes or, like RE3's Resistance mode, offer another asymmetrical multiplayer experience. These questions and more should be answered once Resident Evil Showcase airs later today at 2:00 pm PST.

Capcom's impending online event is primed to present fans with plenty of other reasons to tune in, as well. Most notably, a brand-new trailer for RE: Village will go live, alongside a first look at the eagerly-anticipated title's gameplay. Fans are also hoping the publisher will finally share a firm release date.
