Lisa Barlow from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City revealed that she and her costar Meredith Marks have a strained friendship following her rant in Sunday's preview for the episode. Lisa and Meredith began season 1 of the Bravo series as the closest friends on the cast. Lisa and Meredith would constantly talk about their 10 year-long friendship and would mainly film scenes together. Some fans would even get them mixed up as they thought they looked a lot alike.
However, their friendship began to change ahead of season 2 when Lisa befriended Jen Shah, Meredith's RHOSLC enemy. While season 1 was airing, Jen was constantly tweeting and liking tweets that attacked Meredith's son, Brooks Marks. Jen also accused Meredith of cheating on her husband, Seth Marks, while the two were separated many years ago. Meredith was rightfully angry with Jen and wanted nothing to do with her throughout the season. Meredith was surprised Lisa would favor this new friend over her and has since been wary of Lisa.
A source close to production for RHOSLC told Lisa, who almost got into a physical fight with Jen, was caught yelling about Meredith to production behind closed doors. "I’m done with her. I f–king hate her!" the 47-year-old said of her good friend. "She’s a whore. She’s f–ked half of New York!" she claimed. Viewers were shocked by the outburst as Lisa and Meredith seemed to be on better since filming RHOSLC season 2 last year. Lisa then appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, where she touched on the sneak peek of the outburst that aired following Sunday's RHOSLC episode.
A viewer called in virtually, asking Lisa if she knew why Meredith decided to delete every picture they have together from her social media. "I’m sure it’s based on the next episode," the Vida Tequila owner replied. "I have a little rant that I’m not proud of, but I hit my boiling point." The RHOSLC season 2 housewives have discussed Meredith's strained relationship with her husband Seth, but Lisa always refrained from speaking about the topic. The Page Six source also suggested that Meredith and Lisa's strained friendship created a path for Meredith to finally forgive and befriend Jen. The former enemies "found resolution at the reunion and have since developed a stronger friendship." Their newfound bond will likely play out during RHOSLC season 3.
Despite their long-standing friends, Meredith will not stand by after Lisa bad-mouthed her while she was still had her mic on. As viewers have seen from Meredith before, she will cut anyone off who tries to attack her family. Lisa did, and now she is getting the cold shoulder from Meredith.
