Rings Of Power Star Hopeful For More Representation In Season 2

Sauron has officially begun his ascent to the throne, and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power star Sophia Nomvete confirms season 2 will make him a force to be reckoned with. After Galadriel saved his life and set him on course to forge the Great Rings, Sauron began his journey towards conquest. With season 2 on the horizon, he is ready to claim all of Middle-earth for himself.

While there were are many battles and life-threatening stakes in The Rings of Power season 1, things are about to get more complicated. The Rings of Power season 2 promises breathtaking stakes, as Sauron rallies to rule everything. Nomvete, who plays Princess Disa, told Deadline that Sauron's ascent will impact every character and every kingdom. Check out her quote below:

“How does every single world navigate his time, his reign and his force? And it is absolutely mind blowing. I hope I’m allowed to say that but it’s so desperately exciting. Disa is currently being described as a kind of joyful Lady M at the moment, which is amazing and really exciting to play. There is a lot to play for. There is a lot coming and I cannot wait to see it.”

How Sauron Will Change The Rings Of Power

Halbrand revealing he's Sauron

Despite being a lighthearted and encouraging character throughout The Rings of Power season 1, even Princess Disa will be profoundly impacted by Sauron. Nomvete hints that Disa will be taking the same path that Lady Macbeth did in Shakespeare's famous play. In season 1, she regularly ignored the orders of King Durin, insisting that his son would be king soon. Much like Lady Macbeth, Sauron's rise could be all Disa needs to become the force behind the crown, as she directs her own Durin to move against his father. It remains to be seen if she, like Lady Macbeth, will regret many of her choices.

Sauron himself is already moving to take control of Mordor. As he does, the Southlands will be the heart of all conflicts to come. Sauron will likely be crafting a forge of his own in Mount Doom. While he likely won't be creating the One Ring in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2, three have already been forged, and he will be continuing his quest to use them against the people of Middle-earth. The dwarves will be next to star in The Rings of Power, and that means that Princess Disa will be at the heart of the season.

Galadriel will also have conflicts of her own to overcome. After saving Sauron's life, her entire quest has proven to be an utter failure. She has put the lives of every elf in danger. Now, she will need to work to redeem herself before her disgrace becomes all that is left of her name, once her failure is discovered. With The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power slowly leading to Sauron's rise, every ing episode will bring him more strength — and that means many more lives lost.
