Let’s dive into the full scale of Ghost Rider’s abilities and how strong the Spirit of Vengeance has become since his comic book debut in 1972.

Robbie Reyes Will Once Again Show Off His Extreme Power as the All-Rider

Since his debut in 2014, Robbie Reyes’ Ghost Rider has evolved into one of the Marvel Universe’s strongest figures, with the full extent of his power still to be explored. Robbie was first introduced 10 years ago in All-New Ghost Rider #1 by Felipe Smith, Tradd Moore, Val Staples, and Nelson Daniel, as a young mechanic in East Los Angeles who acted as a defender of his younger brother Gabe. Becoming Ghost Rider and taking on the Spirit of Vengeance title, Reyes went from a protector of his family to an Avenger, saving the entire universe.

Robbie proved himself as the most powerful Avenger when his full abilities were finally unchained, as he became the All-Rider to defeat the Multiversal Masters of Evil in Avengers Forever #11 by Jason Aaron, Jim Towe, Frank Martin, and VC's Cory Petit. After saving Marvel’s multiverse when no other Avenger could, Robbie’s Ghost Rider was left stranded in the God Quarry aka the Quarry of Creation. With October 2024’s one-shot special set to feature the grand return of Robbie Reyes, Marvel’s most powerful Avenger will finally make the strong comeback he deserves and show off his true abilities.

New Champion Fantasma Debuts Alongside the Most Powerful Ghost Rider

Ghost Rider: Robbie Reyes Special Full Cover by Gerardo Sandoval

Ghost Rider: Robbie Reyes Special #1 will also mark the official first appearance of another character who was introduced as a New Champion, part of a variant series highlighting hypothetical Avengers sidekicks. Fantasma s the ranks of other characters from the variants that have been made canon, like Maystorm in Peach Momoko’s Ultimate X-Men. Fantasma aka Isabella “Izzy” Alvarez is a unique and cool blue-hued Ghost Rider variant with accents reminiscent of roller derby fashion. Initially thought to be a potential sidekick of Johnny Blaze, Fantasma will make her debut in the Robbie Reyes one-shot alongside the strongest Ghost Rider.

The All-Rider has been largely sidelined since his awe-inspiring sacrifice in Avengers Forever, but his impressive display of power instantly made Reyes one of the most powerful Ghost Riders, Avengers, and Marvel characters overall. With his special one-shot to celebrate Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month and his 10-year anniversary, Robbie gets a well-deserved spotlight once again. As Ghost Rider’s power is promised to be fully unleashed, Robbie Reyes is sure to make a splash and come back to the pages of Marvel Comics in a big way.

Ghost Rider: Robbie Reyes Special #1 will be available October 2 from Marvel Comics.
