TV Stars Share Secrets On The Saturn Awards Red Carpet
Eoin Macken (La Brea)
Screen Rant: Congrats on La Brea season 3 and just wrapping up an amazing series.
Eoin Macken: It's funny, because I think the most beautiful thing about working on La Brea was you have to work with some really cool people. We really do, and it's only when you finish a show and realize you don't get to go back on set with these people, like Chiké Okonkwo, like Jon Seda, like Nick Gonzalez, like Zyra Gorecki...
We all had a wonderful time, and we knew while we were doing this season that we were creating something very special because we got to finish the show in a way that felt appropriate for the characters. I think that was really important, but it's also kind of melancholic because I don't get to be on set with them again.
Do you think Merlin will ever come back?
Eoin Macken: I’ve been trying to bring Merlin back for 10 years. I’ve got Tom Hopper, I’ve got Rupert Young, I’ve got Bradley [James], and they’ll all come and do stuff. I’ve been trying to do a podcast or a show, but I’m slowly getting there. But I’ve been trying. I’ve genuinely been trying! I'm going to drive the Merlin Revival train back eventually. It might be older knights, they're old and they're grizzled, and they're all semi-retired, but we'll get there. Merlin, but we’re all ancient.
The Saturn Awards is all about genre, and there are franchises galore here. You've got Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, DC, Avatar, and even Fast and Furious. What's your dream franchise? If you could one, what's it going to be?
Eoin Macken: A dream franchise? I've got to be honest, I love Villeneuve. I'm so excited for Dune: Part 2. I liked the David Lynch version of Dune too. But I'm so excited for that sequel, so I'd love to be a part of that. If they could just do some reshoots and just put me in this one, I'll take that.

Mimi Rogers (Bosch: Legacy)
Screen Rant: You have Bosch: Legacy season 3 coming up. You've had such an amazing illustrious career. What has this series really given you the opportunity to do that you've never done before?
Mimi Rogers: Yeah, we just started filming it a month ago. I guess more than anything, [it's given] continuity. This will be my tenth season with Bosch, so I've had the amazing opportunity to just develop this whole family.
The fact that we've been together for 10 years, and it's also not often that you get to play a character for 10 years, so it's been an amazing opportunity just to follow this character through so many different permutations. I've never had that in my career, so it's such a blessing. I never knew what it was like to play somebody for a really long time, it's just incredibly rewarding.
What can you tease about season 3?
Mimi Rogers: I'm running for DA. I don't even know if I win.

Madison Lintz (Bosch: Legacy)
Screen Rant: You've got season 3 coming up on Bosch: Legacy. What can you tease about it, what's coming up for your character?
Madison Lintz: Oh, gosh, that's my least favorite question because my worst fear is to spoil something. A lot of post-season 2 – we all know what happened season 2 – there’s a lot of normalcy for Madison. A lot of things are coming back to normal. I'm talking about myself, but I mean Maddie. We're the same person essentially, whatever.
How are you most like her?
Madison Lintz: Oh gosh, we're so different in so many ways and similar in less ways. Honestly, we have the same name, so that's the main way. A lot less confusion on set, although sometimes people think I'm being method, where I introduce myself as Maddie and they're like, "Wait, is that your real name?" I'm like, "Yes, I'm not method, I swear." Sometimes I'll see people and be like, "That's my real name also, just to clarify."
She's very stubborn, and we're both go-getters. She's definitely a lot cooler than me, I'll say that much.

Ming-Na Wen (The Book of Boba Fett & The Mandalorian)
Screen Rant: I want to start, if you don't mind, on an emotional beat. Because we just lost a screen titan. Carl Weathers.
Ming-Na Wen: Carl Weathers. A legend and icon. He was someone that you not only immediately bond with because his heart was so huge, and he makes you feel like you’re an instant friend right off the bat, but he’s always your cheerleader. He’s one of those people that’s always like, “Hey, how’s it going?” He doesn’t ask, “What are you doing?” which is often how it is in this business. He cares about you, and not what you can bring for him.
Unfortunately, like all of us who don’t think we’re beloved or that we’ve left enough impact or done enough, I think he was always wanting to do more. Wanting to be able to connect with more people. From all the tributes and all the heartbreaks that his ing has caused, I just hope he sees how well loved he was."
What can you tell us about your status in the Star Wars-verse? We did not see you in The Mandalorian season 3, much to the chagrin of a lot of people. Would you come back for The Mandalorian season 4?
Ming-Na Wen: Look, I am always grateful for any gig that comes my way, and Star Wars being Fennec Shann has been the ultimate dream come true for me. I hope for more, and I'm greedy for more. But any nugget that they will give to me, I will put on Fennec's outfit immediately, any time of the day.
You've already conquered half the franchises in Hollywood. What's left? What is the one franchise that you have not been in that you still want to be in?
Ming-Na Wen: That's a tough question. I haven't been in any of the Star Trek stuff. I just see this guy out of the corner of my eyes, James Cameron. I'd love to be in anything James Cameron's doing. He has a few good track records to his name. He tries, he tries.
