"queen of Manhattan Beach," diva Chelsea Lazkani, are showing off standout style. While the series isn't just about "absolutely fabulous" hair, makeup and clothes, the stars are dressed to kill. Chelsea was called out for flaunting too much skin, but she doesn't seem comfortable in modest clothes. At the Oppenheim Group, women (and Jason Oppenheim too) should wear exactly what they want, if only to entertain Netflix subscribers.

When the powers-that-be tried to reign in Chelsea's style, she didn't look like herself. She's all about form-fitting and revealing clothes that show off a toned, petite body. She wants couture-level glamour. Chelsea loves to shock, so it's possible she wears micro-skirts and corsets just to raise eyebrows. In the reality TV realm, how could that be bad? Meanwhile, Selling Sunset's Alanna Gold, the new recruit, is drop-dead chic because she understands something that other celebs, including Chelsea and Mary Fitzgerald, don't seem to grasp - less is more.

Alanna Gold Rocks Professional Attire

She Never Overdoes It

Alanna is a producer plant. While she was accused of pretending to own Pioneertown (she offended some townspeople, as per People), her style is basically flawless. The former model from Canada keeps her makeup very minimal, so her natural beauty (and there's plenty of that) really shines through. Above, she's truly gorgeous in an ultra-modern pantsuit.

Above, she wears a Frame suit and adds a little retro appeal with a vintage Fendi handbag. This look is perfection.

She doesn't bleach her hair. She wears just enough makeup. Alanna dons cool business suits that cover most of her body, and they're still super sexy. She retains a bit of mystery by keeping certain parts of her body private. Her Vogue-worthy style is elegant, and frankly, some of her more seasoned coworkers could take fashion lessons from her. Chelsea Lazkani Never Tones It Down

And She Shouldn't

Chelsea wears some edgy stuff - she's no shrinking violet, and thank goodness for that. While she's overstepped, especially when she called out Bre Tiesi for having the audacity to breed with Nick Cannon, she's now humbled by experience. She critiqued Bre for bringing a baby into a broken home, whatever that means, but now, she's single too. Who's to say Bre's home with her cute baby Legendary Love Cannon is "broken"? Maybe it's a happy place where mom and baby love each other. Above, Chelsea shows off her legs in the tiniest micro-skirt. She likes these designers:

  • Kwaidan Editions (the collection includes dramatic belted coats)
  • Y/Project (for upscale jewelry)
  • Versace

Chelsea shines in the most extroverted fashion, including the sorts of strappy, body-conscious dresses that Cincy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell rocked on the runway in the 90s (oh, Linda Evangelists too). What's cool about Chelsea is that, no matter how revealing her clothes are, her brains always show. The only issue is that she has trouble minding her own business. However, the turmoil of her divorce may soften her, helping her to understand other peoples' points of view.

Mary Bonnet (Fitzgerald) Loves Bright Colors & Cosmetics

She Doesn't Really Need That Much Makeup

Mary's got this glow about her... her inner beauty really shows when she smiles... it shows when she listens and she cares. The goodness in Mary is so easy to see. As a young single mother, she felt judged by society, but she persevered. What could be braver than that? All of that pressure created a diamond. She's just a lovely person. No, she's not perfect, but she's loyal and a superlative real estate agent. Above, the Leo woman glows at TikTok, dressed in a sunshine yellow blouse that looks great with her golden skin. Mary likes the following designers:

  • George Keburia (she wore a bright green skirt suit by the designer this season)
  • Karen Millen (the designer creates floral pantsuits and other bold styles)
  • Jovani ( Luann de Lessup's "Feelin' Jovani" moment - same designer!)

Mary is gorgeous no matter what, but she'd actually benefit from a fairly minor make-under. She's so pretty she doesn't need all that makeup. Of course, it's up to her how she does her glam. It's her choice and she should do exactly what she wants. However, with very minimal makeup like Alanna's, Mary would look stunning. All that blush, bronzer, and shiny lip gloss kind of get in the way sometimes, almost masking the real beauty underneath.

Selling Sunset's King Jason Oppenheim Loves Louis Vuitton

He's Also Got A Hot Car

Jason's gotten shade for sleeping with coworkers and then favoring one of his exes, Mary. However, some of that criticism may be unfair. Mary is a successful person that he trusts. His romances never last, but his wardrobe is filled with "show them the money" designs by Louis Vuitton. This brand is about shamelessly flaunting wealth - logo-laden LV designs are status symbols. They're favored by plenty of wealthy people, including gifted quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Jason also has the coolest car - it's a gunmetal gray Ferrari.

Jason's conspicuous consumption probably makes him feel like the king of Los Angeles. However, under those glitzy sweaters that cost thousands of dollars is a man who can't sustain a relationship and doesn't want to be a dad. Jason has his problems just like everyone else, no matter how much money he has in his bank .

The stars of Selling Sunset season 8 are fashionistas. Sometimes, their style is so overdone that it's cartoonish, but they should never change. The fact that they rock these outrageous outfits makes the series more fun to watch. This season, things are so bad there won't even be a reunion - everyone's mad at someone. Nicole Young has stirred up so much trouble. Her gossiping and troublemaking show a dark side of her personality that is really unattractive.

Selling Sunset is meant to be a glossy and posh ride through Hollywood's star-studded streets and scenic hills. It's not meant to be particularly deep or meaningful. In fact, producers have mastered the art of creating escapist entertainment that really takes the edge off. However, now and then, real emotion triggers seismic shifts, taking the focus off out-there fashion and spray tans. The season's over, but the aftershocks continue, mostly because people won't stay in their own lanes.
