Emma had friends at the O Group, she also had enemies.
Though Emma was able to fit in well with the majority of the Oppenheim Group agents, there was some pre-existing drama with Emma and former Selling Sunset villain Christine Quinn. Christine, who had been with the Oppenheim Group for years, advised the agents, Jason Oppenheim, and Brett Oppenheim against trusting Emma early on in her time working with the brokerage. While the drama between them was personal, Christine shared that she didn’t trust Emma with personal information as they’d had some issues with a mutual ex-boyfriend in the past. While Christine was typically dramatic, her issues with Emma weren’t off-base.
Emma ed The O Group For Clout
She Was Already Successful In Real Estate
Emma’s time with the Oppenheim Group has been an interesting mix of drama and success in somewhat equal measures. While she was able to be clear about her real estate experience and other business ventures when she started at the O Group, it became obvious that she wasn’t necessarily ing the brokerage for the opportunity for listings. Instead, Emma was looking for the Selling Sunset side of working at the O Group, hoping to appear on the reality TV series while bringing some of her listings to the firm. Emma’s other business ventures, like her empanada company, were her priority.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now
Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.
While Emma was clear in her introduction to Selling Sunset that she wanted to change up her time in the real estate industry by venturing to the West Coast, she was also upfront that she was a small business owner first. Emma’s frozen empanada company is a running bit on the series, as she brings it up consistently each season. Emma’s focus on her side business makes it clear that she’s on Selling Sunset for exposure, not working at the O Group for legitimate reasons like many of the other agents. She likely ed Selling Sunset to try chasing clout.
Emma's Friendships Have Never Been Genuine
She’s Always Fake With Her Colleagues
Although Emma and Chrishell’s friendship has been building since Selling Sunset season 4, and though Emma came into the O Group at a moment of rebuilding for Chrishell, the pair seemed to bond quickly as they got to know one another in a workplace setting. Though their relationship appeared genuine, Emma and Chrishell’s friendship has always been more of a surface relationship than a deep one for either of them.
Chelsea, who ed the series during Selling Sunset season 5, has been getting to know Chrishell and Emma throughout her time on the show. While she has relationships with the majority of the agents at the O Group, Chelsea’s friendship with Emma and Chrishell has been highlighted throughout the last few seasons. While the trio seems closer than the other agents on the series, Chelsea’s friendship with Emma has been predicated on social media, with Emma consistently posting with Chelsea seemingly for clout. During Selling Sunset season 8, it became clear that Emma doesn’t have Chelsea’s best interest at heart.
Emma Tried To Sow Seeds Of Doubt About Bre's Warning To Chelsea
She Didn’t Want To Believe Bre’s Information
During Selling Sunset season 8, Bre Tiesi approached Chelsea about her husband Jeff Lazkani, as she’d heard some disheartening rumors about him. Bre, who Chelsea has had a long-standing feud with on the show, explained that one of her close friends saw Chelsea’s husband at a hotel with another woman, and there were some sure-fire signs that he was having an affair. Though Jeff and Chelsea’s relationship has been featured for its strength on the show in the past, it quickly became clear that Chelsea had doubts, and didn’t feel like she could discredit Bre’s information without investigating it herself.
When Emma learned about what Bre had shared with Chelsea, she tried to intervene and make Chelsea second guess the information she’d received. While Chelsea and Bre’s relationship hasn’t been positive, it was clear that Bre was sharing what she’d heard with Chelsea in a genuine way, not to ruin her life. She wasn’t trying to cause trouble, but instead was hoping that she would be able to empower Chelsea to make a positive choice for herself and her children. Emma tried her best to discredit Bre’s information, making Chelsea wonder if she was trusting someone who she shouldn’t be.
Emma's Only Looking Out For Herself
She Doesn’t Those Close To Her
While Emma may have tried to claim she was looking out for Chelsea when trying to discredit Bre for coming forward, it’s clear that she’s only trying to look out for herself. Emma’s time on Selling Sunset hasn’t always been strong, as she’s been on the sidelines when it comes to drama, sales, and storylines. As a cast member, she’s continuously been one of the “friends of” others, without big stories for herself on the series. Instead of getting storylines or ing the drama, Emma typically provides or talking points to others, giving little information about her own life.
Rather than exposing her own drama or getting involved in the mess of Selling Sunset, Emma has spent her time on the series as a figure. With a lack of authenticity in the series, Emma’s time on the show has proven that she only looks out for herself. She doesn’t care for others, especially those she claims to be friends with on the series. Emma’s behavior has made it clear that she’s looking for a way to show off her products and make herself look like she’s part of an iconic series, but Selling Sunset doesn’t put her first.
