Microsoft is releasing the setting up the device easier. These two, in particular, are set up from the palm of the new owner's hand with their smart phone.

Players of the newest Microsoft console will need to the Xbox app for easy access and set up. However, the new owner can also choose to skip this step and set up the the Xbox One to be set up.

How to Set Up the Xbox Series X/S in the Xbox App

After heading to the app store and ing the Xbox app, enter the app, and select the Set Up a Console option. If the new owner has already signed into the Xbox app they need to search set up in the search bar of the app instead. After doing so, enter the code given by the Xbox into the app to connect the console to the player's Xbox app .

After this, the player will be prompted with configuration and verification on their new console. The player will need to enter in their language, location, connect their new console to WiFi, choose the console's power settings, name the console, decide on their privacy settings, and update their console. Once these things have been done, the owner can sign into their Xbox if they had not already done so in the Xbox app.

If the owner runs into any issues while going through the process of entering their information into the Xbox they can go to Xbox's section of their website for more step by step tutorials on how to get through the setup process. After completing the prior listed steps and filling in all the information, all players need to do is connect their controller(s) to the new console. Simply insert two AA batteries into the controller and turn on using the center Xbox button. If the controller is not yet paired to the device, players will need to press and hold the pair button on the console and the controller.
