The cast of Letterkenny spinoff mostly meandering Letterkenny.

Shoresy has received quite a bit of praise from critics, with many citing its salty humor and sometimes biting satire. It's also received a number of accolades for its authentic and strong portrayals of women and First Nations people in great roles. Unsurprisingly, Shoresy's success can be attributed to the talent behind it, both behind and in front of the camera. While most of them may not be household names in America, quite a few American audiences may still recognize them.

Jared Keeso as "Shoresy" Shore

He Also Starred In Letterkenny

Actor: Jared Keeso doesn't just star in Shoresy; he also starred in Letterkenny and created both shows. Being the creator of both shows keeps Keeso busy, but audiences may recognize him from one of his first TV roles in the popular Smallville (Nate Pratt). Keeso actually played hockey as a kid with the aim of going pro, which is what gives him an edge in playing hockey players, which he's done numerous times in his acting career.

He's a prolific TV actor and writer, but Letterkenny is certainly his best-known project. Before creating and starring in Letterkenny, his longest running TV roles were in the series 2014 drama 19-2 and the 2006 family adventure Monster Warriors.

Character: Jared Keeso stars as the titular character Shoresy, a constantly chirping, trash-talking, foul-mouthed AAA hockey player. The series kicks off when Shoresy makes a deal with the team's owner that if he's put in charge of the team, they'll never lose another game. By season 4, he is trying to navigate life after playing hockey. Shoresy originated on Letterkenny. With Keeso playing Wayne there, Shoresy's face was never shown in the original series.

Tasya Teles as Nat

She Is Best-Known For The 100

Actor: Tasya Teles got her start in television by as dayplayers on numerous television shows. Based in Canada, she also appeared in several Hallmark Channel movies over the years, since the network films most of its movies in Vancouver and utilizes primarily Canadian professionals. Teles is best known for her role as Echo on The 100. Most recently, she appeared in the fourth season of Legacies as Lynn, formerly known as the Ferryman, and in a Hallmark mystery movie The Secrets of Bella Vista with Rachelle Lefevre.

Character: Tasya Teles steps into the role of Nat in Shoresy, the owner of the Sudbury Bulldogs who is just about ready to throw in the towel. Nat inherits ownership of the team from her mother and sees the team as her mother's legacy. While she loves hockey and the sense of community it provides, she also knows she can't keep pouring money into a losing team that doesn't have fans paying for tickets. She still gives Shoresy the chance to prove himself and turn the team around.

Harlan Blayne Kytwayhat as Sanguinet

He Has Appeared In Other Sports Projects

Actor: Kytwayhat is a newcomer to the field of acting, having only previously been in one episode of the TV show Tribal before landing his role on Shoresy. Since landing the part, he's also appeared in another sports project, the 2023 basketball movie Warrior Strong. Kytwayhat will soon be a familiar face to a much wider audience, however, as he appears in the role of Itsee in the Predator prequel movie Prey and the thriller Die Alone.

Character: Harlan Blayne Kytwayhat stars as Sanguinet, Shoresy's soft-spoken best friend and hockey player turned reluctant head coach of the Bulldogs. Nicknamed Sanger, he starts his time in the show as a player alongside Shoresy, but Shoresy convinces Nat to give him a chance as coach of the team instead. Sanguinet tries to motivate the team with positivity instead of anger, despite not being entirely comfortable in the role of coach instead of player.

Keilani Rose as Miigwan & Blair Lamora as Ziigwan

Keilani Also Appeared In Flimsy As Cadence And Blair In Outlander

Actors: Keilani Rose's career has started picking up steam after being in the business for more than a decade. Audiences may recognize her from her role in the TV show Flimsy as Cadence (a show which she also directed and produced), or from her role as Katie Hamilton in the horror movie The Sinners. She's appeared in several short films and TV roles as well, but mostly as unnamed characters until now.

Blair Lamora is almost brand-new to acting, with her biggest role before this being a guest appearance as Walela in an episode of Outlander season 6. She also appeared in the series Alaska Daily and the movie Café Daughter in 2023.

Characters: It's hard to separate these two since they are a firm team in the series. Keilani Rose stars as Miigwan and Blair Lamora stars as Ziigwan in Shoresy. Miigwan and Ziigwan are Nat's sidekicks and assistants, and they suffer no fools. They are very much like the enforcers for their boss. As a whole, the three women help to balance out the testosterone of the show and represent a unique kind of sisterhood, born in a hockey arena.

Ryan McDonell as Michaels

Lt. Eammon 'Gonzo' Pike in Battlestar Galactica

Actor: Ryan McDonell has had a steady career in genre TV, with his most famous role being that of Lt. Eammon 'Gonzo' Pike in Battlestar Galactica. Audiences may also recognize him as Stuart Campbell in Smallville. Otherwise, he's been a regular on a number of CW shows, appearing as a guest star on iZombie, Supernatural, The Flash, and Arrow. As a working actor in Canada, it's probably also no surprise that he's appeared in a number of Hallmark Channel movies. He appeared in Small Town Christmas and Love In The Forecast.

Character: Ryan McDonell plays Michaels, who is the head coach of the Sudbury Bulldogs at the beginning of Shoresy. The team, however, hates him, and since they're on a losing streak anyway, Shoresy takes it upon himself to lead a mutiny against Michaels. Michaels eventually becomes the goalie of the team instead.

Terry Ryan as Ted Hitchcock - Ted Hitchcock (whose name sounds a lot like "Ten-Inch C*ck" according to Shoresy) is another new recruit but he may love martinis (or as he calls them, "martoonies") more than hockey. Ryan previously had guest spots on Letterkenny, Hudson & Rex, Little Dog, and Frontier, but like most of the cast of the series, he doesn't have a long acting resume yet.

Max Bouffard as JJ Frankie JJ - JJ Frankie JJ (real name Jean-Jacques François Jacques-Jean) is a legendary hockey player from Quebec. Andrew Antsanen as Brant "Goody" Goodleaf - Goody is a recruited former across player who decides to play for the Bulldogs in Shoresy season 1. Shoresy is Antsanen's first acting role, but he was a junior AAA league hockey player in Quebec before retiring from the sport.

Jordan Nolan as Jim #3 - The third Jim of the team. Shoresy is also Nolan's first acting role. Nolan played in the National Hockey League for multiple teams from 2012 to 2019. Brandon Nolan and Jordan Nolan are real-life brothers, adding some authenticity to the camaraderie between the teammates.

Tessa Bonhomme as Herself - Bonhomme first appeared in the show’s premiere as herself, but she has guest-starred throughout the series as well. Chase Coughlan as Mason - Mason is another member of the Lakers, and a real-life Sudbury hockey player plays him. Coughlan had no acting experience prior to appearing in Shoresy, and he was actually recruited for the show by the hockey stunt coordinator (via CTV News).

Xander Roy as Carter - another Lakers hockey player, Carter first appears in season 4. Roy is a university student who does not have professional acting or hockey experience (also via CTV News), so the series is a whole new experience for him.

Isaac Kragten as Jack - the fourth Lakers hockey player added to Shoresy in season 4 has the most acting experience of the bunch. Kragten has been acting since a young age and is likely best known for the Canadian kids’ show Odd Squad.
