Warning: Major spoilers for season 4 of Shoresy ahead
ending of season 3 of Shoresy saw the foul-mouthed captain forced into retirement due to a series of brutal concussions.
Season 4 represented a major shift in how the overall narrative of the hockey comedy played out. As opposed to Shoresy being at the center of a season-long pursuit of a goal, such as keeping the Bulldogs from folding or trying to win the national senior hockey tournament, season 4 followed Shoresy and the show’s other primary characters as they dealt with a variety of challenges that arose in the offseason. One subplot in particular was a major focus of the latest season, and its resolution ended a Shoresy story that had gone on since the beginning of the show.

Shoresy Season 4 Is The Closest The Show Has Come To Letterkenny Yet
Season 4 of Shoresy brought the the hockey-focused spinoff of Letterkenny closer to Jared Keeso’s original comedy than ever before.
Shoresy Season 4’s Finale Finally Ends Shorey’s Story Of Trying To Win Over Laura Mohr
Shoresy “Closed” Laura Mohr Via Extreme Yet Charming Methods
While Shoresy is rude and disrespectful to just about everyone else in his life, he has been unfailingly enamored with local reporter Laura Mohr. Despite her constant rejections due to her status as a single mother and his reputation as a promiscuous hockey player, Shoresy never ceased his pursuit across the first three seasons of Shoresy. His collection of hilarious pick-up lines and heartfelt sincerity wore her down eventually, and their relationship evolved into a legitimate romance during season 3.
Laura Mohr is played by Canadian actress Camille Sullivan, who has had a steady string of TV and movie appearances since 1998.
Season 4 saw Shoresy finally “close” on Laura Mohr, as his extreme methods of proving how serious he was about her finally paid off during the offseason summer in “Sudvegas”. After putting down an ultimatum at the beginning of the summer to see if Shoresy was sure about committing himself to her, Laura finally agreed to a sleepover and “more sleepovers”. To seal the deal, Shoresy recruited two of the young Lakers he was mentoring and ran the distance of an actual marathon in a Hail Mary attempt to prove the depth of his intentions.
What Shoresy & Laura Mohr Finally Getting Together Means For Shoresy Season 5
The New Season Should Explore Their Relationship Further
Just as season 5 represents a new chapter for Shoresy as he moves into a coaching rule with the Bulldogs, it will yield a new dynamic in Shoresy and Laura’s relationship. In place of the mostly-sincere pick-up attempts and adorable banter, the audience will get to see what Shoresy looks like in an actual committed relationship. He’ll have to reconcile his abrasive nature with his love for Laura Mohr whenever he’s not with the Bulldogs, which could prove a challenge no matter how committed he believes he is.

The audience will likely get a bit more background on Laura Mohr as well. For example, it will be nearly impossible to depict Shoresy and Laura’s relationship without also revealing Laura’s kid, who has been her top priority (and Shoresy’s primary roadblock) since he first began pursuing her. Shoresy interacting with a child, or perhaps a lippy teenager, is rife with untapped comedy potential after scratching the surface during Shoresy’s time giving the seminars (and one webinar) in season 3 and his mentorship of the Lakers in season 4 of Shoresy.
