PlayStation's State of Play gave us some new information about the Silent Hill f, including insight into the game's different editions. As has seemingly become the norm, Silent Hill f will have both a Standard edition and a Deluxe edition, with the edition of the game coming with a few add-ons and perks. It's good to know what you get from the game's Deluxe edition, so you can decide whether it's worth spending the extra money for it.
In general, Silent Hill f looks like an State of Play, Silent Hill f will have a distinct idenity, while still retaining the core elements of a Silent Hill game. If you're already sold on Silent Hill f and are thinking of pre-ordering the game, you will get a few helpful add-ons with both versions for doing so.
Silent Hill F Standard Edition & Pre-Order Bonuses
Silent Hill F's Standard Edition Costs $69.99
The Standard edition of Silent Hill f will cost $69.99. On its own, the Standard edition just includes the base game. If you pre-order Silent Hill f, you will also get several in-game items, including a cosmetic, an equippable item, and some consumables. This includes a White Sailor School Uniform, which can be used to change Hinako's appearance from the game's Change Costume menu. This also implies that there might be other unlockable costumes in the game. The item's description makes it sound purely cosmetic, so it won't have a big impact on your gameplay experience.

Silent Hill F Isn't Banned In Australia After All As Classification Board Issues Statement
After an update from Australia's Classification Board, Silent Hill f gets a new lease on life, confirming the game is not banned in Australia.
As of right now, it's unclear exactly what exactly the other items do in the game. According to the PlayStation Store listing, the Peony Omamori is an equippable item, but what effect it has isn't specified. The other three items, the Abura-age, Divine Water, and First Aid Kit, are listed as consumables. We can assume the First Aid Kit will recover some of your lost health, but it's unclear what the other items are used for. The store listing also notes that these will be accessed through the Bonuses menu, and you will need to unlock them by progressing.
Silent Hill F Deluxe Edition & Pre-Order Bonuses
Silent Hill F's Standard Edition Costs $79.99
The Silent Hill f Deluxe edition is $79.99 and comes with the base game, a digital soundtrack, a digital artbook, and a Pink Rabbit costume for Hinako. I could see the digital artbook being an interesting addition, given the unique visual designs that are typically on display in Silent Hill games. That said, there aren't any substantial add-ons in the Deluxe edition, such as a DLC expansion or items that affect gameplay.
The Deluxe edition includes all the same pre-order bonuses as the Standard edition, and it comes with 48-hour early access. Early access is probably the biggest draw of the Deluxe edition, especially given that players have been waiting for Silent Hill f since 2022. However, it is a little frustrating to see that companies are continuing to lean into the trend of forcing players to wait a few days just because they can't afford to splurge on the upgraded version of a new game.
Silent Hill F Deluxe Upgrade Explained
Silent Hill F's Deluxe Upgrade Is Just The DLC From The Deluxe Edition
The Silent Hill f Deluxe upgrade is a way to retroactively purchase the add-ons from the Deluxe edition of the game. Say you buy the Standard version of Silent Hill f and fall in love with its soundtrack, or just want more insight into the game's artwork, then it's nice to be able to buy it after the fact instead of being pressured to get the Deluxe edition right away. However, there is one notable difference between getting the upgrade and just buying the Deluxe edition.

It’s been a long time since we’ve had a new main game released for Silent Hill, and now it looks like the wait will pay off with Silent Hill f.
The Deluxe upgrade does not come with early access to the game. If you want early access, you'll need to pre-order the Deluxe edition of Silent Hill f from the start.
