Sophie Thatcher Released An EP In 2024 Named Pivot And Scrape

A Deliciously Melancholy Art Pop Release

Thatcher's deep and raspy speaking tone becomes a hauntingly beautiful, breathy vocal that perfectly compliments the dreamy and yet dark tone of her EP. Thatcher's lyricism invites the listener into the turmoil of her inner narrative. Her struggles against her inner saboteur on "Rattle Trap" and her hazy metaphors of resilience through hardship on "Pivot & Scrape" display how vividly she is able to extend herself onto the page. Despite being her first EP release, the sound is mature and cohesive.
