Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Spawn Kills Every Spawn #1! Widespread death and destruction is nothing out of the ordinary for a The Spawn variant in question isn’t new to this level of carnage, as he’s done something similar not once, but twice before.
In a preview shared by AIPT Comics for the Spawn Kills Every Spawn! #1 (of 5) by John Layman and Rob “Sketchcraft” Duenas, fans are given just the artwork (no dialogue yet) depicting the fan-favorite Spawn variant, ‘Baby Spawn’ aka ‘Spawny’ absolutely massacring every Spawn around him.
Along with the pages, the Spawn Kills Every Spawn preview also included a synopsis for the title. It reads as follows:
In Spawn Kills Every Spawn, the character baby of ‘Spawny’ attends Spawn-Con, a convention filled with various Spawns from across the Spawn Universe. Unfortunately for Spawny, he discovers that he’s not even close to being the most popular Hellspawn. Instead, he’s the least liked among that group. To battle his identity crisis, Spawny decides to take drastic action: KILL THEM ALL! What follows is a darkly comedic, action-packed adventure that explores the insanity of a convention full of Hellspawn, and the lengths one very sensitive Spawn will go to in his quest to gain fame and recognition.
Todd McFarlane, the creator of Spawn and President at Image Comics, spoke not only about his excitement for this new, crazy chapter in the Spawn mythos, but also revealed that fans might have more in store for them than just absolute carnage.
Todd McFarlane: The wonderful art by Rob puts so much detail into the pages, I think readers will be going back through each book to find all the visual Easter Eggs he has planted within the story. And Jon Layman has brought his own sense of absurd cuteness to this story so that you are both shocked and smiling at what is unfolding in front of you.

These 1990s Spawn Storylines Cemented The Enduring Popularity Of Todd McFarlane's Creation
Today, Todd McFarlane's Spawn is a major franchise, but it wasn't always that way. Here are the '90s stories that cemented Spawn's lasting popularity!
Spawny Killing the Spawn Multiverse Won’t Be the First Murderous Rampage for the ‘Little Maniac’
2016’s Spawn Kills Everyone by Todd McFarlane and JJ Kirby & 2018’s Spawn Kills Everyone Too by Todd McFarlane and Will Robson
Spawn Kills Every Spawn will be the first time Spawny takes on an army of other Hellspawn, but it will be far from the first time he’s murdered countless iconic characters in a single storyline.
Spawny made his debut in Spawn Kills Everyone, where he’s desperately trying to get a movie deal, but no one is willing to produce it. Meanwhile, Spawny sees a number of other characters get movies so easily, like Hulk, Deadpool, the Star Wars cast, and so many others. So, what is there to do but murder the competition in the hopes that it will yield a movie deal? At least, that’s Spawny’s deranged line of logic, anyway.
The storyline that follows is an absolute mess of iconic characters from a number of franchises getting utterly massacred by this cute little Spawn, and it’s something fans can’t take their eyes off of.
Spawny then makes his return two years later with Spawn Kills Everyone Too, where this time, he’s upset with the fact that he hasn’t killed as many people as before. Rather than going on a murder spree right then and there, Spawny lets the despair get to him, and he falls into a depressive state. Luckily, Spawny had just given birth to dozens of even littler Spawns, who take it upon themselves to cheer up their parent by killing more iconic characters (Captain America, Alien’s Xenomorph, the Hulk (again)).
Spawn Kills Everyone Too was decidedly different from the original, but in the end, the result was the same: absolute carnage.
Spawny’s Latest Killing Spree Will Finally Present Him with a Challenge (maybe)
These ‘Spawn Kills’ storylines have so far been comedic gore-fests, where Spawny cuts through countless victims with ease, with no real threat to his own life presenting itself. This time, however, Spawny won’t just be killing characters who are relatively (and only arguably) weaker than Spawn, but other Spawns, meaning Spawny might have finally met his match. Of course, that’s probably not going to happen.
Spawny’s ‘Spawn Kills’ storylines are like extra-violent episodes of Looney Tunes, as he’s using ‘cartoon logic’ more than anything else to kill his opponents. And like any kind of comic or show that uses ‘cartoon logic’, the main character is absolutely untouchable, which is exactly what Spawn fans are so excited to see with the return of Spawny as he goes to war against his other selves in Spawn Kills Every Spawn.
