Using his shapeshifting abilities, Shift attends class at Brooklyn Visions Academy in Miles’ place, so nobody knows that he’s gone off on a Wakandan adventure. Though he has some trouble maintaining his form, Shift is still able to help Miles appear to be in two places at once.

Shift’s profile continued to rise in Marvel Comics since his 2021 debut, and his new trick to help Miles maintain his secret identity makes him more integral to the character’s journey moving forward. Since officially becoming the newest member of the Morales family, the Hulk-sized clone of Miles has proved himself as a strong addition to Spider-Man’s ing cast. After being created to be a living weapon, deemed a failed clone, and having his unique powers manipulated by a villain called the Assessor, Shift has managed to grow as a true hero alongside Miles.

The newly-revealed trick allows Miles to travel around the Marve Universe in more Spidey adventures without completely disappearing in Brooklyn.

With his super-powered clone brother’s ability to fill in for him at school, Miles is able to make his way to Wakanda, receiving a personal tour from Black Panther himself. A brief glimpse of their team-up in Miles Morales: Spider-Man #27 shows the titular hero wide-eyed as he takes in the futuristic city of Birnin T’Chaka with T’Challa by his side. Miles’ new suit with Vibranium material and webs gives him a real connection to Wakanda, so it’s great that he now gets the chance to explore the nation as Spider-Man in an exciting Black Panther team-up.
