Marvel Comics’ multiverse contains an infinite number of parallel realities that tweak or completely change what fans have become accustomed to in Earth-616 continuity, with Spider-Man Noir being one such alternate character that puts a hard-boiled twist on a friendly neighborhood hero. In a new set of cosplay photos, Spider-Man Noir gets the live-action design he deserves, proving that Nicolas Cage’s television series can work in the real world.
Sharing this Spider-Man Noir cosplay on Instagram, Jaden (@thatsubscriberguy) enlists the help of two other creators to bring this design to life, with A Cosplay Shop (@aacosplayshop) and Asuka (@asukauzu) contributing the costume and photography for this latest Spidey-themed project, respectively.
Previously dressing as a Spider-Man in plain clothes, wearing only a mask to hide his identity, the redesigned Spider-Man from Marvel’s Spider-Man game, and even a few DC Comics characters, like a brooding comic-accurate Robin, gritty Red Hood, and creepy Joker, Jaden clearly has the right skills to continue his cosplay journey, with each new design topping the last.
Spider-Man Noir Cosplay Is the Perfect Live-Action Adaptation of This Alternate Peter Parker
Cosplay and Edit by Jaden (@thatsubscriberguy)
A character hailing from the Marvel Noir universe, Earth-90214’s Spider-Man Noir, or Spider-Noir, is a version of Peter Parker perpetually stuck in the Great Depression with the noir film genre being a strong visual and narrative influence that gives this Spider-Man a fresh new design and set of problems exclusive to this gritty black and white world. Making his big screen debut in the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film, Spider-Man Noir is slated to make his live-action debut in MGM+/Amazon Prime Video’s Spider-Man Noir television series, with Nicolas Cage reprising his voice role in the live-action space.

Spider-Man Noir Officially Confirms He's Marvel's Indiana Jones
Spider-Man Noir is taking a turn towards the adventure serial, making readers wonder if its time for Spidey to trade the mask for a fedora.
Staring down at his city in the first post with an appropriately broody gaze, Jaden’s Spider-Man Noir immediately looks the part with his long black trench coat, subtle spider-accented top, dark gloves, pants, and shoes, and comic-accurate mask setting the dark noir tone in a way that Spider-Man Noir needs to replicate. Crouched low in the next post as he readies to leap onto an unsuspecting evildoer, fans get an even closer look at Jaden’s design, with his scary bug-eyed goggles and hatless head showing the detailed work A Cosplay Shop put into making Jaden’s mask look and feel real.
Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Man Noir Show Already Has a Great Live-Action Cosplay Reference
Costume Design by @aacosplayshop with Photography by Asuka (@asukauzu)
Though principal shooting for Spider-Man Noir only just recently concluded, multiple set photos and leaks have shown Nicolas Cage’s comic-accurate version of Spider-Man in action, making Jaden’s (@thatsubscriberguy) impeccable cosplay all the more prescient as both designs are incredibly similar and well-crafted, boding well for the quality of the show, at least in of its visuals. No release date has been confirmed for Spider-Man Noir’s jump from the comic page to the small screen, but as long as the cosplay community keeps creating Hollywood-level costumes like this one, fans won’t be left wanting more Spider-Man Noir content anytime soon.
