Aspyr's Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection has brought both of Pandemic Studios' acclaimed 2000s-era Star Wars: Battlefront games to modern devices. As well as remastering the wealth of content from the base games, Aspyr has incorporated many other bonus elements such as characters and levels to make for a complete Star Wars: Battlefront package for both newcomers and more experienced players to enjoy.
Much like with the inclusion of two bonus playable characters, Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto, the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection will have maps that were only available previously via DLC exclusive to Xbox Live or patches on PC. While original Xbox and PC players would be familiar with these locations, this will be the first time these maps will be available on PlayStation and Nintendo devices.

Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection - Release Date, Playable Characters, & Price
Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is coming to modern consoles as a bundle of the two original games with restored maps, characters, and more.
5 Yavin 4: Arena
This Map's Inclusion In Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Lets Players Recreate A Clone Wars Duel
Yavin 4: Arena is set in a clearing in the forest, and as its name would suggest, involves battling in an ancient arena located in its center, alongside various other ruins. This map was originally only available on Star Wars: Battlefront and on Star Wars: Battlefront 2 via the Xbox-exclusive DLC. This map is fairly simplistic, featuring five total Command Posts situated at the East and West boxes, the Altar located to the north of the map, and the Gate located to its south, alongside the Arena post in the middle of the map.
This area of Yavin didn't appear in either the original trilogy or the prequels. It did, however, feature in Genndy Tartakovsky's original 2003 Clone Wars mini-series where Anakin Skywalker had a duel with Asajj Ventress, a Sith assassin from Dathomir. With both Anakin Skywalker and Asajj Ventress being playable in Star Wars: Battlefront 2's version of the map, it's possible to recreate this showdown, making for a nice addition over its predecessor, in which neither character could be used on this map.
4 Rhen Var: Citadel
An Ancient Structure Atop A Snow-Covered Mountain
Rhen Var: Citadel is a medium-sized map set on the Outer Rim's ice world of Rhen Var where the Great Sith War was fought approximately 4,000 years before the fall of the Republic. This map can be accessed during Star Wars: Battlefront's Historical Campaign, but was also included in Star Wars: Battlefront 2's Xbox DLC.
The Rhen Var: Citadel map consists of an ancient structure atop a snow-covered mountain, with several command points situated across the various structures, such as the large courtyard at the base of a four-story tower, an observatory, an ancient crypt, a keep in the center of the Citadel, and the watch to the south of the map. This map is ideal for close combat, but there are also a few sniper-friendly places higher up, especially in the aforementioned tower. There are also a few Laser Turrets that can be found on this map to help provide more firepower.
Rhen Var: Citadel is the only bonus map for Star Wars: Battlefront 2 that didn't include the formerly Xbox-exclusive pack's main CIS character, Asajj Ventress, instead opting for Darth Maul in her place.

Things Every Player Did In The Original Star Wars Battlefront Games
The Star Wars Battlefront series has a respected legacy spanning nearly two decades, with some gameplay opportunities just too good to resist.
3 Rhen Var: Harbor
This Map Underwent Several Changes For Star Wars: Battlefront 2
Rhen Var: Harbour is the second map to be set on Rhen Var, with players weaving through the narrow, claustrophobic ice caves and fighting out in the open by its courtyard's three main buildings: The Lighthouse, Citadel, and Fort. Rhen Var: Harbour was originally available in Star Wars: Battlefront's Clone Wars campaign before being added to Star Wars: Battlefront 2 via the Xbox DLC pack.
The Western Landing Zone, Ice Caves, Lighthouse, Citadel, and Fort each have a Command Post. CIS holds the Citadel and Fort, and the Republic holds the Western Landing Zone and Ice Caves, while the Lighthouse is neutral.
It's worth noting, however, that this map, unlike some of the others included in that pack, underwent several changes for Star Wars: Battlefront 2, with certain vehicles, droids, and turrets being replaced or removed, ensuring that players will have a different experience across the different titles. Other than its variety from its tight cave corridors to its open, snow-covered plains making for a satisfyingly diverse battle, this map is a great all-round map for beginners, as nearly every weapon that can be found tends to be good.
2 Bespin: Cloud City
The Iconic Location Has Many References To The Empire Strikes Back's Final Act
The Bespin: Cloud City map appears in the Historical Campaign mode in the first Star Wars: Battlefront, but was originally only included in the Xbox-exclusive DLC pack in Star Wars: Battlefront 2. The map is composed around a central courtyard, surrounded by tall skyscrapers that link up together with multiple bridges, leading to various command posts, making it a prime location for those who prefer to play as a Marksman, taking out enemies from afar, as there are many hiding places for snipers.
As would be expected, the Cloud City map has several references to the final act of The Empire Strikes Back for Star Wars fans to enjoy. These include locations such as the chamber in which Han Solo was encased in Carbonite - which acts as a command post in the game - and a massive chasm that resembles the one Luke falls into after dueling Darth Vader and learning of the Dark Lord's true identity, a moment that can be recreated in both Star Wars: Battlefront games due to Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader's appearances, with the characters being fully playable in Star Wars: Battlefront 2.

The Best Star Wars Gaming Moments, From Battlefront To KOTOR
Star Wars video games have given fans some fun, memorable events. From KOTOR to Battlefront to Jedi: Fallen Order, here are some of its best moments.
1 Tatooine: Jabba's Palace
The Star Wars: Battlefront Series' Most Menacing Location
Jabba's Palace is the residence of the infamous gangster, Jabba the Hutt, and is located on the planet Tatooine. In the original trilogy Jabba's Palace is only visited once at the very beginning of Return of the Jedi during an attempt to free a Carbonite Han Solo from Jabba's clutches. Recognizable features from this sequence have been recreated in Star Wars: Battlefront, including Jabba's entertainment chamber and the Rancor's Den, complete with the giant, intimidating creature itself, and the droid torture room where C-3PO and R2-D2 are taken in the film.
After being added to Star Wars: Battlefront via the Xbox DLC and PC patch, Jabba's Palace was included in the base release of Star Wars: Battlefront 2. It's worth noting, however, that this is the only map in both games to not be included in the Campaign or in Galactic Conquest.
Jabba's Palace is arguably the most inhospitable and frightening map in the Star Wars: Battlefront series with its dark, labyrinthine corridors filled with echoes of screams from droids being tortured in the torture chamber. Close combat is often the only viable approach when navigating this map and facing the brutal, unbiased Gamorrean Guards, who attack both sides relentlessly with their vibroaxes.
If players fall into the Rancor's Den, it's worth noting that the Rancor is stationary and won't attack unless players walk in front of it. If players trick Gamorrean Guards into its path and have good enough timing to get out of the way, it will quickly defeat them instead.
All of these bonus maps aren't exactly new to experienced Star Wars: Battlefront players, even if they weren't on Xbox when the original games were released, as they were included in the base version of one of the two titles anyway. However, Aspyr's decision to restore their bonus versions so they can be played across both titles in the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection allows players to experiment with the different Hero and Villain characters across the games, making for a great addition to create a more unified experience across the collection.
