Summary

  • Cosplayers Morai and Allgäu-Trooper bring the intimidating duo of Darth Vader and the Second Sister to life.
  • The Inquisitors were meant to hunt any remaining Jedi after the events of Order 66.
  • The Inquisitors in Star Wars have tragic pasts, with many being former Jedi tortured by Vader and the Empire.

Darth Vader and one of his most tragic Inquisitors have teamed up in a stunning display of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order introduced players to the Second Sister, formerly known as Trilla Suduri, an Inquisitor hell-bent on destroying two Order 66 survivors, one of whom was a stark reminder of her past.

Cosplayers Morai and Allgäu-Trooper teamed up to bring this intimidating duo to life. Darth Vader’s presence is captivating and ominous, as always, and the way Allgäu-Trooper’s cape blows in the wind makes it feel like a scene from straight out of a Star Wars movie. Morai’s Second Sister cosplay is just as fascinating, however, perfectly showcasing the Second Sister’s underlying darkness and poise.

The satellite dish in the background complements the scene, making it feel as though the cosplayers are somewhere on an Imperial base. The Inquisitors are a truly compelling piece of Star Wars lore, and their dark dynamic with Darth Vader is only one of the reasons why.

The Inquisitors in Star Wars are a group of former Jedi devoted to hunting down remnants of their own Order, trained by and serving under Darth Vader.

The Inquisitors Are Some Of Star Wars’ Most Tragic Characters

The Grand Inquisitor, the Second Sister, and Reva from Obi-Wan Kenobi

Much like Darth Vader, the Inquisitors didn’t become embroiled in the dark side out of nowhere. Most of them, like the Second Sister, were once Jedi – Trilla was a Jedi Padawan, who, together with her Jedi Master Cere Junda, tried to protect a group of younglings after the events of Order 66. Both Trilla and Cere were captured and tortured endlessly. While Cere eventually escaped and returned to the light, Trilla became haunted by the dark instead, becoming one of Vader’s most ruthless and cunning Inquisitors – and the Second Sister isn’t the only Inquisitor with a dark and tragic past.

Most Inquisitors were former Jedi tortured by Vader and the Empire with the express purpose of turning them to the dark side. However, some Inquisitors eventually chose to freely embrace the dark side instead. In Delilah S. Dawson’s novel Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade, the former Jedi Iskat Akaris chooses to become an Inquisitor after the fall of the Jedi, as she’d lost her faith in the Jedi Order long ago. The Grand Inquisitor was a former Jedi Temple Guard with an obsessive lust for forbidden knowledge. Like most Star Wars characters, there’s more to the Inquisitors than meets the eye.
