The Every culture and planet have their own delicacies that species like to get stuck into.

Whether it's odd colored drinks or amazing smelling food, there's plenty of dishes and beverages that fans of the brand would love to try. But, due to some of the stranger customs of Star Wars, there's also a lot of foods that no one would want anywhere near their mouth. Galaxy's Edge at the Disney Parks has adapted some of these, but others really have to stay only in the films.

Love To Have: Canto Bight Cocktails

Canto Bight

There's not a lot of good bars in the Star Wars galaxy. Sure the Cantina in Mos Eisley looks tempting and there's a few interesting looking dive bars amongst the streets of Coruscant.

But the alcohol served at Canto Bight is probably going to be some of the best available. The cocktails especially seem like they could be delicious, it's a shame they don't seem to be available in less corrupt areas of the galaxy!

Avoid: Green Milk

Green Milk

Luke Skywalker is clearly not a fan of the green milk that he steals from a Thala-siren. In fact, he pulls quite a disgusted face when resorting to drinking the oddly colored liquid.

Based on that expression alone it's clear that no one would actually want to drink this kind of milk. Despite Galaxy's Edge actually creating a fruity version of the beverage, the iteration in Star Wars should be avoided at all costs.

Love To Have: Blue Milk

Blue milk on the other hand seems to be the chosen drink for many people across the galaxy and something that Luke happily slurped down in his home on Tatooine.

Perhaps easier to get a hold of that water in the harsh environments, something about the blue milk just looks a lot more appealing. It's something every fan would have to try at least once.

Avoid: Roasted Porg

Porgs might actually be completely delicious. They look a little bit like chickens when they are cooking and the smell is probably unbelievable. Despite this, its still a food that should probably be avoided.

The fact is, the Porgs are just too cute to actually eat. Even Chewie had a hard time stomaching his meal when a load of Porgs watched on, heartbroken about their fallen friend.

Love To Have: Colo Claw Fish

Colo Claw Fish

Colo Claw Fish seems like an expensive delicacy in a galaxy far far away and is therefore the kind of local treat that everyone would have to try at least once, in order to in with the local customs.

Dryden Vos actually offers some of the strange looking food to Solo, who turned it down. It seemed a little eggy on the surface, which means it's probably going to be delicious.

Avoid: Portion Bread

Portion Bread

It's understandable that there has to be a way to fairly ration food on a planet like Jakku, but fans had to feel sorry for Rey when her portion bread inflated for the first time. It's an amazing effect and a clever piece of food engineering.

But the bread is clearly dry and flavorless. It would probably be the worst part of any meal so it's certainly heartbreaking to be served up the bread as the only thing to eat.

Love To Have: Fruit

Fruit

The fruit of the galaxy has become pretty iconic for one particular reason. The scene with Pe and Anakin, as they eat the fruits of Naboo together is certainly hard to forget.

Those pears and other fruits certainly aided in the romance of the couple, so they must be pretty great. It seems that everyone should be able to see what's so special about the foods farmed on the grassy planet.

Avoid: Yoda's Stew

Stew Star Wars

Yoda wanted to be a welcoming host to Luke when he first found him on Dagobah. Unfortunately for Skywalker, the rootleaf stew served up by the Jedi Master wasn't exactly the most appealing of choices.

The soup like substance seemed to be a strange texture and it was clear that it certainly wasn't appetising. The sounds it was making especially would have put anyone off their meal.

Love To Have: Dex's Diner Sandwich

Dexter's Diner on Coruscant in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones

It may seem odd to suggest, but there might be something to Dex's Diner. The small restaurant was pretty full and some of the food didn't look too bad. Sure it might have been a little greasy.

But sometimes, the best places are! It's likely that Dex has his own food truck as well and it's easy to imagine that the sandwiches the Diner produces are unbelievable in of flavor.

Avoid: Jabba's Frogs

Jabba frog

Jabba the Hutt is quite a strange creature anyway, but his choice of foods might just be one of the most disgusting things about him. Just like The Child, Jabba seems to have a taste for frogs.

These tiny froggy snacks are slimy and far too big for most species to eat all in one. They look vile and even if they were roasted first they still wouldn't be too appetising.
