Star Wars Outlaws' DLC, A Pirate's Fortune, will feature a cameo by a fan-favorite Clone Wars character. The Clone Wars animated series represents one of the biggest expansions to the Star Wars universe ever to take place in franchise history. It made many of its new characters household names, and many of its young viewers into lifelong fans. The result is an outpouring of anytime one of them shows up in a related piece of media.

There's not a lot we know about Star Wars Outlaws' DLC beyond its title. We now know, though, that Star Wars Outlaws' next DLC will feature the beloved character Hondo Ohnaka. A Weequay pirate and smuggler, Hondo appeared as part of the Clone Wars animated series. He's well-liked among fans for his chaotic, devil-may-care attitude, his brash attempts to seize power. and his brazen personality. Hondo appears on a new piece of key art for the DLC posted by the official Star Wars Outlaws X (formerly Twitter) , as seen below.

More Will Be Revealed At Star Wars Celebration

What We Know & Don't Know About Hondo

While we don't know exactly what Hondo's role will be in Star Wars Outlaws' DLC, it's pretty obvious that he'll be there. That's unmistakably him on the poster, with his signature tricorne hat and orange glasses. He could even be the titular pirate in A Pirate's Fortune, and could serve as either an ally or an enemy - or perhaps, as he's often known to be, a little bit of both.

However, we won't have to wait long to find out. The tweet above promises there's more in store during Star Wars Celebration, the biggest annual event for all things Star Wars. This year's event is taking place in Chiba, Japan, between April 18 and 20. There's likely to be a about Star Wars Outlaws and A Pirate's Fortune on the first day of that event, perhaps alongside more news about Respawn Entertainment's next Star Wars game.

Hondo Ohnaka Is A Welcome Face To Star Wars Outlaws

Some New Personality

No matter what part he plays, though, Hondo will be a welcome addition to Star Wars Outlaws. Frankly, he's a welcome addition to any Star Wars property. He's just a wonderful character with such a big personality that he'll stand out wherever he's placed.

But he'll fit into the Star Wars Outlaws sector of the universe particularly well. By the time Outlaws takes place, he's actively working with the Rebellion, which gives us a hint as to his role in DLC. It'll be especially fun to see how he interacts with Kay: both of them are known to be pretty greedy, so I could just as easily see them working together as at odds with one another.

It's unclear, though, how recent Ubisoft layoffs have impcated the DLC. Although A Pirate's Fortune is scheduled for this spring, it's been a while since we've heard anything about it. While this is a welcome update for Star Wars Outlaws' DLC, it could be a while before it materializes.
