Ezra Bridger’s Final Stance Mirrors Kanan Jarrus’

Kanan Jarrus holding back a blast of fire in Star Wars Rebels

When Kanan died, he held back a gas explosion using the Force with one hand, while holding Hera Syndulla back with the other. Kanan was able to use the Force on two fronts - one to keep the flames back, and the other to keep his family back. This stance was almost exactly mirrored by Ezra in the Rebels series finale when Ezra held stormtroopers back with one hand and had the purrgil keep their grip around Grand iral Thrawn with the other. The way in which both Jedi stand is almost exactly the same, and even their expressions are similar.

The Force returns Kanan’s eyesight to him in his final moments, allowing him one last look at his found family, whereas Ezra wasn’t able to see his family, but rather comforts them with his words and tells them that the Force will be with them always and that he can’t wait to come home. Ezra, Grand iral Thrawn, and the rest of the Imperial forces were taken away from Lothal via the purrgil to what was revealed in Ahsoka season 1 as Peridea, a planet in a different galaxy.
