After initially being teased in The Mandalorian season 3, Star Wars has provided a full look at the first live-action symbol of the Mandalorians, with it having been painted on Boba Fett's armor all the way back in The Empire Strikes Back. The creatures are highly significant to the Mandalorian people, seeing as it was the warrior's ability to tame these massive beasts that helped to make the Mandalorians so renowned. Now, Mythosaurs have become more important than ever.

Shared by CobaltGreen1138 on Twitter/X, a new Star Wars Topps trading card reveals the first full look at a live-action Mythosaur. It builds greatly upon the small tidbits that were seen in The Mandalorian season 3, which had only truly shown the creature's eye, scales, and curved horns. This image breathes more life into the creature, making it the closest Star Wars has perhaps ever come to bringing a dragon to life. With sharp teeth, raised spikes, scales, and a head shape that perfectly matches the Mythosaur symbol, this creature is certainly worth all the hype.

Another layer to this is Grogu's own connection to the Mythosaur, which briefly happens in The Mandalorian season 3's ending. As a Force-, it's not unusual that Grogu can connect with any and all life forms, but neither he nor Din had seen or heard about the Mythosaur that lived beneath the Living Waters. This means that Grogu's ability to connect to the Mythosaur without previous knowledge of its presence, and the Mythosaur's acknowledgment of him, could be further setup for perhaps even Grogu to be the one who helps to tame the great beast in the future.

Either way, this prophecy is a core part of all the future stories from The Mandalorian to come, including the Imperial Shadow Council's scheming, one that has Mandalore at the heart of it all. It would be no surprise for the Mythosaur itself to rise and defend its homeworld, thus fulfilling the prophecy that the Armorer had shared. This first full look at The Mandalorian's Mythosaur seems to only further tease this inevitable future.
