Fans of Stardew Valley who adore the characters but might want a new type of game should check out this fan-made creation that's drawing attention on Reddit. Many players have wondered how different the game would look if it followed one of the villagers, instead of the playable character, and this free game aspires to answer that very question.

Love in the Valley is a dating simulator/visual novel set in the world of Stardew Valley, and Tobanche-Luzinei has sparked new interest in the game after sharing it to Reddit. The speculated on the "Reversed Stardew Valley Experience" in regard to another post on X by NightlingBug, who described how funny it would be if the game wasn't from the farmer's perspective. Love in the Valley is available on itch.io, developed by a group of fans of ConcernedApe's work and led by IfThenCreate. Judging by the post's recent traction, it seems like not many people have heard of this adorable parody.

Luck was not on the side of one Stardew Valley player, who waited an entire year for an event only to receive the most disappointing results.

All the residents of Pelican Town are beautifully in character, so if you're a fan of the original game but find yourself getting bored with the same content, then you'll definitely enjoy seeing everyone in a new light. Fan Games & Projects Help The Stardew Community Grow

There Are Lots Of Hidden Masterpieces You Should Look Out For

Fishing is an aspect the developer wishes he had done differently in Stardew Valley.

ConcernedApe, otherwise known as Eric Barone, has always welcomed and greatly ed fan games and mods, and even likes to play some himself. A recent example of the modding community going out of their way saw Stardew Valley collide with Baldur's Gate 3, allowing players to marry their favorite vampire in more than one game. It's not hard to see why Eric is so open to fan content when the community can produce gems like this, which keep people interested in the game - I'm a big fan of how the farmer was portrayed in Love in the Valley, and the entire project is very creative.

The art and music also deserve a lot of praise - artist credits are available on the itch.io page, and all the beloved residents of Pelican come across gorgeously in this new style. I would definitely recommend showing this project and everyone involved some love, as well as any other similar fangames you come across. The Stardew Valley community is immensely talented, and it's a shame that creations like these aren't pushed out into the public eye more.
