Starfield, currently in development, will be worth the long wait. That’s probably enough to inspire the fan community a little bit, especially considering that pretty much nothing specific has been revealed about the game so far.

Starfield was officially announced back in 2018, during Bethesda’s show at E3. The game reveal came in the form of a short teaser with an image of some sort of a satellite. Starfield was described as the first Bethesda’s original IP in 25 years delving into epic space adventures. That’s basically all the information about the game, which isn’t expected to release any time soon. But while there’s seemingly no end to the wait, Bethesda is trying to assure players that Starfield is worth it.

During Bethesda’s livestream for Gamescom, the company’s PR vice president Pete Hines dropped a few statements regarding Starfield while talking to German community managers. According to his words, the development team is still not in the position to talk about the game - nor it is prepared to show anything Starfield-related. It probably requires a few more years of work to live up to the expectations, but Hines is already quite confident that the reveal - when it finally happens - will be an impressive one making the gaming community believe that the wait was totally worth it. In his famous manner of effectively saying nothing by telling a lot, Hines did not share a single detail on Starfield, but he’s at least transmitted his positive attitude towards the sci-fi RPG.

The Elder Scrolls VI. And much like the next Elder Scrolls entry, the space RPG is still largely an unknown quantity. It even lacks a dedicated page on Bethesda’s official website, which clearly indicates that there’s still little to nothing to be shown.

It would’ve been an unprecedented event in the gaming industry if a huge publisher would’ve said that its title wasn’t worth the wait. In other words, Bethesda’s statement consists of what players want to hear about Starfield, but it delivers zero new information about the game. The reveal, however, should be huge when it finally happens. Considering Bethesda’s tradition of keeping secrets for as long as needed and then showcasing explosive trailers packed with tons of details and gameplay demos, Starfield’s anticipated reveal will definitely offer a lot to chatter about. When exactly it is going to happen, though, is a complete mystery.
