Sony has officially announced another State of Play showcasing new details of PlayStation 5 games. There have been several rumors surrounding the event, which is going to last just over 40 minutes, with many accurately speculating that one will air this week. With it now finally arriving on Wednesday, February 12, at 2pm PT/ 5pm ET, fans can get excited about all the new reveals and updates to existing titles. Of course, fans have already begun speculating wildly about what could appear during the State of Play, but there are plenty of rumors that point to specific titles.
Of course, there are plenty of anticipated PS5 games in 2025, including the likes of Ghost Yotei, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, and Elden Ring Nightreign, many of which may make appearances during the February 2025 State of Play. However, there are a handful of other games, ones that fans may not be expecting, which alleged rumors and leaks claim will make an appearance. If they're true, then PlayStation fans have a lot to be excited about, especially those who are keen on Sony's first-party offerings.
What Games Are Rumored To Be At The State Of Play
God Of War Remasters Could Be Coming
According to Reddit released as a remastered collection and announced during the February State of Play. This rumor has no source, with the merely claiming that they'd heard it from someone and details about the release date being scarce. However, while the ambiguity of the rumor warrants a little grain of salt, the did accurately predict the Hell Is Us release date prior to it being accidentally leaked via the Xbox store page.
Additionally, there have been rumors surrounding a new PS5 bundle featuring 2024's GOTY winner, Astro Bot. The bundle, which is rumored to be released on March 13, 2025, will allegedly include a standard PS5 model with a disc drive as well as a code for Astro Bot, rather than a physical boxed version. This is not particularly surprising, especially considering the hype surrounding PlayStation's beloved mascot and its GOTY win. It is very likely that the Astro Bot PS5 bundle will be featured during the State of Play to let everyone know it's coming.
There have also been rumors circulating on canceling several other live-service games, and it seems like it's going all in on Marathon. It remains to be seen just how much of the game is shown off, but fans could expect to see official gameplay.
All Games Predicted To Be At The State Of Play
Avowed, Death Stranding 2, Ghost Of Yotei & More
While there are several games rumored to be shown during the State of Play, there are plenty that, based on logic and the length of time since their last appearance, will probably be featured. Of course, Ghost of Yotei is the most obvious one, especially considering that it's meant to be released this year. The game's marketing push should start now, especially as some may still be unclear about whether it's a spin-off. A new trailer showcasing Ghost of Yotei's biggest changes, as well as its new setting and protagonist, would go a long way to help with that.
Similarly, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is likely to make an appearance as it is also launching this year. Hideo Kojima posted on Xbox's most beloved exclusives is coming to PS5. This will probably include Avowed, the fantasy RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, as its other 2025 RPG, The Outer Worlds 2, has already been confirmed for PS5.
The developers of Phantom Blade Zero, the Black Myth Wukong contender, also teased that the game's release date would be announced soon. While it's not guaranteed to appear in the State of Play, there's a good chance that it will. Similarly, Ballad of Antara and Where the Winds Meet could both receive new trailers during the Direct, considering it has been a while since fans have heard anything about either. Finally, it's likely that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will get an official release date during the State of Play.
Potential New Reveals At The State of Play
A Bloodborne Sequel May Finally Be On Its Way
There are a couple of games that could be revealed during the February 2025 State of Play, although none of these have been confirmed, nor have there been any substantial rumors that confirm them. The most obvious reveal would be a Bloodborne sequel or remaster, something that fans have been desperate forever since the first game was released all the way back in 2015. Its 10th anniversary is coming up - the original game launched on March 24, 2015 - which would make this State of Play the perfect place to announce more Bloodborne content.
Additionally, a new God of War game could be revealed alongside the aforementioned remaster collection. The next God of War setting has been allegedly leaked and Sony has been allegedly hiring voice actors for a new AAA game that many suspect is the next God of War game. Considering the last God of War game launched all the way back in 2022, there's a good chance that a new one is on the horizon. Of course, it could very well be an Atreus spin-off, as some have predicted, a prequel following a young Kratos, or the next mainline adventure.

Rumored New God Of War Game Already Has A Perfect Story To Tell
There are rumors that a new God of War game could be in the works, and Ragnarök has already set up a perfect story for the next game.
Another huge reveal would be the next Marvel's Spider-Man game, although this seems somewhat unlikely. Sony has been more active with showcasing its games, including the likes of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, so it could reveal a spin-off like Miles Morales or the third entry in the franchise. However, it is more likely to reveal information about Marvel's Wolverine first. Either way, PlayStation 5 s will have a lot to look forward to if even half of these rumored and predicted games are featured.
