Once the final season ended, some fans went back to where it began to binge Superstore all over again. During the rewatch, a number of scenes from the first season stood out because similar scenes had happened in the finale.

On Reddit, one fan posted two images of a girl sitting on a potty while Amy walked by in the first season and again in the finale. Comments on the thread pointed out more callbacks to the pilot from the finale with fans marveling at the dedication of the showrunners to pay homage to the show's beginnings.

Although Superstore was a sitcom, the content of the show didn't just focus on humor. There were moments that were good, sad, fun, funny, heartwarming, and sometimes deep. Every fan has their favorite from these, which they found to be unforgettable.

In a Reddit thread, one listed their favorite overall moment as the time when Mateo was crying over his breakup with Jeff and Jonah showed up out of nowhere and punched him. More fans added hundreds more of their personal favorite moments from the show, providing a thread rich with nostalgia for anyone missing Superstore.

The Biggest Plot Twist Ever

Most sitcoms follow a similar formula. Boy meets girl, sparks fly, something keeps them apart for a while, then they get their happy ever after and a whole bunch of stuff happens in between with other characters. Superstore generally followed a similar formula, so it was quite surprising for some fans when the page information for the show on a streaming service had a blurb that had something completely opposite.

A Redditor shared a screenshot of a page with a summary about Superstore, which was about two sisters seeking the truth about their missing parents who were accused of murdering 23 people. It was clearly a mistake but the fandom rolled with it anyway. The post gave rise to lots of wild comments about how they liked the misplaced storyline or what they found surprising about it.

What The Fandom Wants Next

For a while, there was talk of a Superstore spin-off that would focus on Cheyenne and Bo. Unfortunately, plans for this were shelved so the Superstore fandom had to swallow that bitter pill along with the ending of their show.

On Reddit, showed the reality of retail workers perfectly and a similar one about restaurant workers could do the same.

Of The People, By The People, For The People

In addition to applauding Superstore for delivering a good ending, fans commended how it presented the reality of working in a retail store. Over the years, viewers commented on the spot-on depiction of retail-worker working conditions, employee work ethic, and lots of other things--even though some things were exaggerated for comedic effect.

In celebration of this, a Redditor shared a meme showing how Superstore helped bring people who work retail together with those who don't, while simultaneously raising awareness about the work lives of the former. In the comments, Redditors stated that they hoped the show would make people more sympathetic to retail workers.

A Serious Discussion

Superstore shared the grim reality of the state of healthcare in the USA, although it was mixed in with humor since the show is meant to be a comedy. Even though the sitcom setup made the whole thing seem exaggerated, some fans expressed that there was some level of truth in it.

A Redditor based in Sweden wrote a post asking about the accuracy of the healthcare woes expressed on the show, like Amy having to return to work two days after birth because there's no paid maternity leave. The post led to an insightful discussion among fans about healthcare in different countries.

The Crossover Everyone Wished For

Before the show ended, fans had hoped to see a crossover between Superstore and another fan-favorite show also focusing on characters in the workplace. Even though there's no chance of that happening now that Superstore is over, one Reddit thread with a discussion of what would happen during a Superstore/Brooklyn Nine-Nine crossover is perfect consolation.

The original post and the comments that followed all had fun guesses about what would happen, how the characters would interact, and which ones would get along. For example, one comment suggested Mateo and Cheyenne would bond with Gina (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) over dissing both Amys.

Superstore Vs. The Office

Several fans compared Superstore to other shows such as The Office, even while it was still running. Firstly, they were both set in a workplace, although the industries were wildly different. Secondly, fans noticed some similarities between the characters of each show.

All Sales Final

The Superstore series finale was commended by many as one of the best endings of a sitcom. One of the key moments of the episode was the montage showing the characters' different futures. From Dina, Sandra, Marcus, and Justine at the fulfillment center to the future cookout scene where the Cloud 9 family were hanging out together again.

The predictions that they got wrong, and some aired questions they still had about the finale. Overall it's a thread rich with everything that made Superstore the beautiful show it was.
