For six seasons, of the eccentric ensemble, love was definitely in the air at Cloud 9.
Like other workplace sitcoms, Superstore had its iconic, go-to pairing: Amy and Jonah. However, they weren't the only ones falling in love and occasionally fooling around. Over the course of the show, tons of characters fell in and out of love all the while delivering epic romantic gestures along the way.
Bo's Proposal To Cheyenne
The pilot episode of Superstore is surprisingly filled with romantic gestures but one of the biggest happens when Bo decides to propose to his pregnant girlfriend and Cloud 9 employee Cheyenne. After getting turned down once, Bo decides to up the stakes by staging a robbery that quickly turns into a flash mob.
While flashy proposals might not be for everyone, it's exactly the type of spectacle that Cheyenne was expecting and she has no problem saying yes to marriage.
Moment Of Beauty
Since Amy and Jonah were always going to be Superstore, they definitely couldn't be outdone by Bo and Cheyenne. After getting off to a rocky start, Jonah decides to show Amy that he's not as bad as he seems by decorating the Cloud 9 ceiling with hundreds of glowing lights.
One simply doesn't decorate an entire ceiling for some random co-worker which is why the "moment of beauty" confirmed Jonah's crush on Amy. Not only that, but it set the bar high for romantic gestures for the show and for Jonah and Amy's relationship.
Jonah Keeping Amy Company During The Tornado
Jonah and Amy spend most of the Superstore dancing around each other and their feelings, especially since Amy is still married. However, during season two, Jonah pulls off one of the most simple and romantic gestures of the entire show when he decides to keep Amy safe during the tornado that's headed straight for Cloud 9.
While comforting Amy might not be the grandest romantic gesture, it is the moment that really captures just how much Jonah cares for Amy. Plus, it's the first time they kiss making it even more special.
Sandra Using A Scooter To See Jerry In The Hospital
Sandra is truly one of the most undervalued characters in the Superstore ensemble cast and it's a shame the show was canceled just as she had become more of a major player. Despite being ridiculed by her co-workers, Sandra does experience love worthy of romantic gestures in the later seasons.
After her boyfriend Jerry ends up in a coma, Sandra sticks by his side. After months of no development, Jerry finally wakes up on Christmas Eve while Sandra is at Cloud 9. Determined to see him, she steals a Cloud 9 motorized scooter and scoots herself over to the hospital.
Jeff Quitting To Be With Mateo
There's no denying that Jeff and Mateo were an interesting couple. And even though they had their issues, they did have their moments when it came to romantic gestures.
In fact, one of the biggest romantic gestures in their relationship came when Jeff decided to quit his job at corporate so that he could continue dating Mateo. While it's true Jeff originally tried to have Mateo move to a different store, he quickly realized his errors and decided to sacrifice his own career for the sake of love.
Jonah Tracking Down A Copy Of Amy's Favorite Video Game
Ironically one of Jonah's most romantic gestures towards Amy occurred while he was in a relationship with another co-worker. During season 3, Jonah spends the entire workday with Amy as they try and track down a copy of her favorite video game that came out that day. Unfortunately, they're not successful in their search - or at least that's what Amy thinks.
At the end of the episode, Jonah surprises Amy with a copy of the game that he managed to track down despite getting distracted by the recalled products room they found. The sweet gesture is not lost on Amy who later its to Dinah that she might have a crush on Jonah after all.
Jerry Spending The Day In An Easter Bunny Costume To Be With Sandra
While Sandra and Jerry's relationship has always been adorable, it was not without drama. Especially since Sandra's nemesis Carol "stole" Jerry from under her and dated him just to spite her.
Despite being in a one-sided relationship with Carol, Jerry finds a way to spend time with Sandra by dres in an Easter bunny costume and chasing her around. The fact that Jerry was willing to do all that just to be around Sandra is definitely swoon-worthy.
Jonah Staying With Amy After Learning She's Pregnant With Her Ex-Husband
Things got even more complicated for Amy and Jonah's relationship after Amy learns that she's pregnant with her ex-husband's child just as she's entered a relationship with Jonah. Instead of running for the hills, Jonah decides to stick by Amy's side and becomes an official step-parent to Parker.
Having a child with someone else can definitely be a killer for a new romance but the fact that Jonah decided to be there for Amy makes it a huge gesture. It's also a great reminder of just how in love Jonah is with Amy.
Mateo Wanting To Make A Good Impression On Eric's Parents
After things with Jeff don't work out, Mateo goes through a bit of a dry spell before he is introduced to Eric, Amy's brother. While Mateo and Eric don't hit it off right away they eventually do fall in love.
And while Mateo is definitely a selfish character, he does become quite the romantic when he tries to make a good impression on Eric's parents when they visit Cloud 9. The moment truly encapsulates just how much Mateo loves someone that isn't himself.
Dina Asking Garrett To Be Her Boyfriend In The Most Dina Way
Dina and Garrett's relationship can best be The Office. While these two were hardly a serious couple, there was no denying the sexual tension and feelings these too shared for each other.
After seasons of wondering if they'd finally give in, fans were surprised and shocked to find that Dina asks Garrett to be her boyfriend in the final episode of Superstore. Of course, the moment is lowkey and delivered through whispers but for Dina and Garrett, that's pretty darn romantic.
