There have been 40 seasons of the hit competition show Survivor, and that means there has been a ton of hidden immunity idols to be found - and of course, played. While there are certainly some famous players who have made this aspect of the game their biggest asset, there's a lot of players who have done well with idols.

With clues being a thing of the past, some players have revolutionized idol finding. Some players have played more than once, and some are just spectacular at searching the island. Here are the 10 best castaways to play, based on how many idols they found - and played.

Davie Rickenbacker - Found 2 (& Played 2)

There were a handful of castaways that have found two idols, including Parvati Shallow, David Wright, and Jeremy Collins. However, Davie only played once, and he also managed to block nine votes - seven for Christian with his first, and two for himself with his second.

With two idol finds and plays in a single season, Survivor: David vs. Goliath, Davie deserves the first spot on this list, and fans were certainly sad to see him go.

Kellee Kim - Found 3 (& Played 1)

This might not be as much of a legendary name on the list, but she's apart of the nine players that have found three idols or more during their career. Of course, Kellee only played once - so her three idols finds are definitely impressive.

Unfortunately for Kellee, she was blindsided with not one, but TWO idols in her pocket. It was a rough day for her, but she did manage to void five votes with her first. Still, three idols is an impressive feat.

Kelley Wentworth - Found 3 (& Played 2)

Kelley returned to the island and has played a total of three seasons, with many fans behind her. In that time, she found three idols, and managed to block 12 whole votes cast against her - the most of anyone on this list.

Her time on Cambodia certainly proved her idol mastery, where she played both of her idols in the season, and actually broke a record for voiding nine votes at a single tribal council!

Natalie Anderson - Found 3 (& Played 3)

Natalie is nothing short of a total beast and proved her worth in both her first and second seasons. After taking home the crown the first time around, she returned for Winners at War.

After getting voted off first, she won the challenge to return from the Edge of Extinction, and used two idols to keep herself in the game. Blocking seven votes against herself, Natalie certainly earned her spot on the island.

Malcolm Freberg - Found 3 (& Played 3)

Malcolm might just be one of the most lovable and memorable players to have been on the island. With three seasons under his belt, Malcolm found three idols, and managed to block six votes against himself.

From individual immunity wins to finding idols, Malcolm held on and played a stellar game, despite getting voted out each time - obviously, because of how much of a threat he truly was.

Tony Vlachos - Found 4 (& Played 3)

Tony is among five players in history to have found four or more idols. Although he played three seasons, Tony successfully found four idols! Of course, with the help of his spy shack and waking up before light, Tony certainly proved himself, especially during Winners at War.

While he never actually blocked any votes against himself, Tony certainly made sure that he would survive another day. And it worked because he's taken the title twice.

Tai Trang - Found 4 (& Played 3)

This player certainly raised some controversy with his idols. From throwing halves in the fire to saving his spot in the game, Tai deserves some serious recognition when it comes to finding and playing hidden immunity idols.

He found four in two seasons of playing and managed to block nine whole votes against him. In fact, Tai found two idols within hours of each other, after switching tribes. Obviously, his plays were definitely impressive.

Rick Devens - Found 4 (& Played 4)

Rick Devens spent a lot of is season on the chopping block. On the bottom, Devens fought tooth and nail to remain in the game, and that involved finding and playing hidden immunity idols.

He found four idols in one season - and that's certainly a record in itself. He also played all four and blocked eight votes against him. He couldn't quite hang on, but he remains an incredibly well-esteemed player.

Ben Driebergen - Found 4 (& Played 4)

Ben returned for Winners at War in season 40 and even made it all the way to the final four. One of the most popular players of the game, he takes second place for idol finds and plays.

With two seasons, he found and played four idols! Blocking 11 votes against him, Ben has stayed in the game, and sometimes by the skin of his teeth - or, the idol.

Russell Hantz - Found 5 (& Played 4)

Russell might have been the turning point from extensive clues to straight-up scouring the island for a hidden immunity idol. He certainly revolutionized the idol, and found am impressive five from his time on the show.

He played four of them, and actually got 11 votes, that were cast against him, to not count. That's an impressive number, and while this player is a villain of the game, he is certainly the idol king.
