  • A completely palatable animated movie that can't come anywhere close to the masterful comic that inspired it. You're wasting your time by doing anything but reading the original instead.

  • Batman: Year One is one of the most iconic stories in the Batman mythos, and the animated film adaptation perfectly brings it to life with a combination of great visuals and voice acting. Add in the already incredible writing of the original comic, and it's the best way to experience the classic story outside of reading the comic.

  • Founds this adaptation of Frank Miller's groundbreaking story rather lackluster and boring. Maybe I am just not cut out for the direct to video animated Batman movies. Don't see to enjoy them that much. Still, some good ideas are present here. Wish it was a bit more interesting to watch.

  • This was a pretty good Batman movie. The animation style works very well and it is dark, gritty, and overall, a faithful rendition of the comic that it is based on.

  • As a comic book, Batman Year One is considered the definitive starting point for any Batman fan, and the animated adaptation manages to meet expectations.
