  • A weaker sequel than it's predecessor. The power-swap and spectacle of the Surfer is well handled, and I do feel there's moments where the characters are on point, such as Reed in the club. Unfortunately, that isn't enough to save a dull plot and unfortunate adaptation choices for its villains.

  • The movie can be janky at times, Galactus is a huge disappointment, and Silver Surfer was about half of what I'd expect him to be as a comic book fan, but all of that said, the cast for this FF lineup was really great. Every one of the team felt like they embodied the role and it made the movie a good watch, despite the weaker parts.

  • A poor movie that looks down on its audience for having any interest in the source material, the power-swapping premise is pure 'what next?!' Nevertheless, Laurence Fishburne achieves genuine gravitas as the Silver Surfer.

  • Try as I might, I unfortunately have never been able to get into the Fantastic Four movies even though I'm a big Marvel lover. It's odd to see Chris Evans in another MCU role since he's always Captain America in my mind.

Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer Review

Although at times it felt like a made-for-TV movie, a far better film than the first and more entertaining than the super-serious Spider-man 3.
