Godmothered is a sweet Disney+ movie reimagining the genre of fairy tales in several ways. Jillian Bell shines as Eleanor, the overzealous fairy godmother, and Isla Fisher brings poignancy to Mackenzie. It does get a little predictable, but it still has its moments of great humor and heart. It's simply the way it deals with lightness and its usage of magic, which takes one through modern life issues and has some lasting effects.
