  • Finally! A modern day Godzilla movie that actually cares about its human characters. Really enjoyed this one because of that element. They are all well realized and it was amazing seeing them overcome Godzilla by the end. Some powerful stuff in this movie. Emotionally resonant.

  • It's one thing for Godzilla Minus One to have incredible visuals and a horrifying portrayal of the titular monster, but what truly sells the film is the writing, as its script does a perfect job of making its cast engaging and filled with depth as it puts them through a poignant anti-war story. It's one of the few Godzilla movies where the human characters are the best part of the film, and it's easy to see why it's been met with so much success.

  • Amazing film that reflects real tragedies and the lives of those they affect. Minus One is not only about the destruction of Godzilla, but also about the resilience of the human spirit. I'm not ashamed to say I even cried! Exciting, terrifying, yet hopeful.

Godzilla Minus One Review: Yamazaki’s Kaiju Entry Is One Of The Franchise's Best
8/10

Yamazaki’s Minus One is so rich with compelling characters, that it’ll be hard not to emotionally gravitate to its central human story.
