Tragically poor movie that has Will Smith but won't let him be charismatic. The original ending was famously cut due to poor performance in focus groups, but it really is essential to tie the story together and give sufficient gravitas to a couple hours of hide and seek.

I really hate zombies, like a true deep fear of them, so I don't typically watch anything with them in it, which is why I'm glad these creatures lean more vampire-like because I could enjoy the movie without being too freaked out. The idea of one man still searching for a cure while he might possibly be the only one alive anymore is incredible and even though not much happens the first 45 mins or so of this movie, I never reached a point of being bored. This was honestly the most accurate depiction I've seen of what someone might be like in this position and I was highly invested in his experiments from the start. Highly recommend this movie to anyone that has interest in a post-apocalyptic thriller, this is one of the good ones.

Will Smith carries I Am Legend as a person who has lost everything but is still trying to figure out a way to find a cure for what has happened to the world. The CGI is subpar but the tension is palpable with a thrilling, but divisive conclusion.
