Parasite overshadows something like this, but Bong Joon Ho was really trying for something with this one. The absurdism here is really fantastic, and I think works well overall for the film.

Bong Joon Ho knows that capitalism is the enemy, and that Tilda Swinton is a gift you keep working with whenever you can. Okja as a creature lives in that perfect space of ugly-cute, and the satire here is on-point. It was overshadowed by his "more serious" fare, but this film is just as much a classic.

Okja is my least favorite Bong Joo Ho, but that still means that it is really good. Love the more surreal aspects of this compared to some of his other stuff. It can be heartbreaking and times and thrilling all at once. He is just so good at what he does.
