  • Best movie of all time, pretty much. :) At least in my little corner of the world.

Humour, wit, drama, great acting, excellent "zombie scares" and legit creepy tension, brilliant editing (AS ALWAYS in Edgar Wright films)... what can I say? I've seen it a bazillion times and it only improves upon itself. It's like a beautiful choregraphed dance that hits all the right notes. It's got it all: endlessly fun, keeps you on your toes, entertaining, funny yet full of emotional truth and great characters whose relationships make this movie what it is.

  • Edgar Wright's breakthrough hit, Shaun of the Dead remains just as memorable and effortlessly quotable even 20 years after the dead rose. A perfect leap from TV to screen for the Spaced team that has aged incredibly well, and perhaps one of the finest romcoms of all time while telling a tale about growing up.

Synopsis

From director Edgar Wright, Shaun of the Dead stars Simon Pegg as Shaun, an ambitionless slacker who one day finds his world overrun by zombies. From a script by Wright and Pegg, Shaun of the Dead injects comedy into a typically horror-focused subgenre as Shaun and his lazy friend Ed (Nick Frost) attempt to rescue Shaun's estranged girlfriend and make it through the apocalypse unscathed.

Edgar Wright's Shaun of the Dead remains one of the co-writer/director's best efforts with its mix of relatable comedy and zombie genre homages.
