  • Disney needs to re-release all of the original movies, because frankly the new versions are way too expensive, and can not compare to the originals.

  • One of Walt Disney's last films before he died, Sleeping Beauty doesn't stray too far from its fairytale origins, but it did give the world a great, cackling villain in Maleficent. The prince and princess do meet and have some chemistry before he kisses her awake, making this less creepy than some other princess tales.

  • A classic Disney movie, and a stellar example of what 2D animation is capable of. It is at once endearing and terrifying, as Maleficent's actions conjure a great sense of fear. Worth the rewatch.

  • Sleeping Beauty was one of my favorite Disney movies as a child, and it is still one of my favorites today. The animation is spectacular and distinctive, portraying both the movie's more grim moments and its lighthearted moments in nature very well.

  • One of the most beautiful animated movies ever made. The art direction is so striking and places the viewing in the medieval setting. The movie is also responsible for introducing one of the most popular Disney villains: Maleficent, with an introductory scene that is hard to forget.
