Transformers: War for Cybertron was developed by High Moon Studios and released in 2010. The title revolved around planet Cybertron and looked at the lives of the Transformers before they made with Earth. Players would choose to take control of one of three Transformers during each campaign mission and the third-person action title also had a multiplayer component.
