Fans of the Tekken 8 during its State of Play presentation on Sept. 13, 2022. The new title will put an end to the conflict between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama, following the former’s victory over Heihachi in the previous game.
While it’s confirmed that Kazuya and Jin’s battle will take place, there are various other unresolved matters from Tekken titles that Tekken 8 ought to tackle. These range from confirming the whereabouts of characters suchas Jun Kazama to the fallout from Kazuya’s clash with Heihachi and the impact it will have on Tekken 8.
Is Heihachi Really Dead?
Apart from being one of the best characters in the Tekken series, Heihachi has had a constant influence on the story. He was seemingly killed off in the original game until his return in the second. The seventh entry ended the same way as the first when Heihachi was thrown into a volcano by Kazuya.
As a result, fans have questioned for years if Heihachi really is dead or will work out a trick to return just like he did previously. Moreover, the Tekken series has never had an entry without Heihachi, so fans will need to have absolute closure if he’s truly gone or if there’s a twist in the story to signal his return.
What Was The Outcome Of The Clash Between Kazuya And Akuma?
difficult fighting games to master, which is why it was interesting to two characters from the series clashing against one another. Akuma appeared after Kazuya had killed Heihachi to challenge him, but the fight’s outcome wasn’t shown.
It’s safe to say that Kazuya lived through it since he’s returning in Tekken 8, although there’s still a big question mark over the result of their clash. After all, Akuma’s mission was to slay Kazuya, and it wouldn’t make sense for him to it defeat. Tekken 8 should confirm if Kazuya disposed of Akuma or if something happened that made the latter change his mind.
Can The Devil Gene Ever Be Destroyed?
The Tekken series isn’t exactly a beginner-friendly fighting game due to the hard-hitting characters, with the likes of Devil Jin and Devil Kazuya posing a real threat. Within the story, Jin had intended to kill Azazel to end the devil gene, only to still be plagued by it in Tekken 7.
Tekken 8 appears to be setting up both devil genes of Jin and Kazuya offering them powers to fight against each other. However, there needs to be confirmation if there is an end to this gene since the series has teased it time and again. Since the clash between father and son seems to be the last one, there also needs to be closure over the main aspect of what began their rivalry in the first place.
What Is The Status Of G Corporation?
G Corporation supposedly became the next superpower after Heihachi’s death and Jin’s disappearance, but it’s unclear if Kazuya has continued to use it to spearhead his world domination plans since he should technically be in charge of the Mishima Zaibatsu as well.
The ending of Tekken 7 implies that G Corporation has basically taken over the same war-driven plans that Jin had enacted with the Mishima Zaibatsu, although this wasn’t completely confirmed. Tekken 8 should reveal what G Corporation’s standing is in the world now since it was initially seen in a positive light by the people against the Mishima Zaibatsu.
Is Jin Still A Wanted Man?
Jin started all the wars in the world in an effort to lure out Azazel and end the devil gene once and for all. Despite Azazel’s demise, Jin plan didn’t work, and he’s been in recovery under Lee Chaolan’s care. Now that Jin will return to the public eye, it remains to be seen what people’s perception of him is.
Technically, Jin is supposed to be a wanted man for causing so much destruction, so it would be hard to believe that he can just walk around without consequence. Jin’s story in Tekken 8 should make reference to how he’s managed to roam freely and if people like Miguel are still out for blood against him.
What Is The Line Of Succession Now For The Mishima Zaibatsu?
The Mishima Zaibatsu should be in control of Kazuya after he defeated Heihachi, but this took place after the latter had already canceled the latest tournament. This leaves it unclear if the Mishima Zaibatsu is under anyone’s control in particular or is up for grabs.
Jinpachi had claimed the Zaibatsu for himself in Tekken 5 when Heihachi and Kazuya weren’t present, so there is precedent to someone else taking control. Still, Tekken 8 has the task of establishing who now has this conglomerate in their hands since the Mishima Zaibatsu is responsible for the King of Iron Fist Tournament.
Which Tekken Characters Are Truly Canon?
There have been several Final Fantasy, both of whose canonicity is under question.
Tekken’s guest characters are confusing since they shouldn’t realistically be part of the universe. Given that every new Tekken game establishes what canonically happened in the previous one, Tekken 8 should confirm which of the guest characters were actually part of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 7.
Whatever Happened To Jun Kazama?
This has been the go-to question in the minds of every Tekken fan for decades. Jun’s status has never been clearly stated. There are some indications that she was killed by Ogre but certain others that imply she survived and is still at large.
Tekken 8 will bring back a personal arc for Jin that hasn’t been seen since Tekken 5, and there’s no better way to close things off by having him come to with what happened to his mother. In addition, the mystery behind Jun has dragged on for so long that it’s high time that it’s laid to rest.
