While most pairs are collegial, The Amazing Race is still a game. The competitive nature of the show causes specific teams to get the dreaded villain edit. Which pairs were the most reviled, and why were they so bad on The Amazing Race?

10 Nick & Vicki

The Amazing Race Season 17

Bartender Nick and hairstylist Vicki were among the most unlikable and combative racers in season 17. Nick, in particular, painted himself as a true villain by berating his girlfriend Vicki repeatedly when she failed to keep up with his endurance. Worse yet, Vicki's asthma gave her a genuine reason to fall behind. Yet Nick harassed them during every leg with a fevered temper and cruel attitude while finishing in the bottom half of their first six races. His terrible temperament made him a real villain, and poor Vicki was along for the ride.

9 Brooke & Scott

The Amazing Race Season 29

While Scott did his best to remain pleasant at best and neutral at worst, his partner Brooke is one of the most villainous racers in series history. Brooke faced severe online ire over the aggressive, in-your-face approach to riling herself up before each challenge. The snarky attitude of the Director of Business Development for a U.S. law firm radiates an air of stuck-up superiority, which leads to constant bickering with her estranged partner, Scott. Although they won the season, Brooke threw a tantrum during the Ladle Making Roadblock.

8 Colin & Christie

The Amazing Race Season 5 & 31

Despite their massive racing success on the show, couple Colin and Christie rank as one of the all-time most dysfunctional and detestable villains. The pair were first introduced in season 5 when Colin continued verbally scolding his girlfriend across the globe. Colin was almost arrested during his hot-tempered meltdown in Tanzania and later threw a similar tantrum in the Philippines. Meanwhile, Christine donned culturally insensitive outfits in several countries. After mellowing out a tad and, hopefully, sincerely changing some of their perspectives and behaviors, the brash Texans returned and won season 31.

7 Brendon & Rachel

The Amazing Race Season 20 & 24

First appearing in season 20 as an engaged couple and returning as newlyweds in All-Stars season 24, Brendon and Rachel Villegas repeatedly proved to be a villainous pair. The rude California natives made little attempt to ingratiate themselves with others during both appearances on the show. Constantly complaining, Rachel refused to shave her head for a challenge in season 20 because she thought she would no longer be pretty. In Paraguay, Rachel stated about another, "Her disgusting smile is worse than her overdone makeup."

6 The Weavers

The Amazing Race Season 8

During The Amazing Race: Family Edition, single mother and widow Linda Weaver could not control the abject villainy exuded by her untoward children, Rachel, Rebecca, and Rolly. The Weavers seemed to use some parts of their personal life to bully other contestants. Their impolitic behavior drew anger from the final 8, which led to the Weavers being Yielded twice, a historic feat.

5 Joe & Bill

The Amazing Race Season 1 & 11

Cocky, cunning, and vindictive, Joe and Bill (aka Team Guido) still reign as the original villains introduced during the inaugural season of the series. However, after returning in season 11, they showed signs of evolving for the better. Following a monumental blowup in a Tunisian airport, Joe and Bill continued to be a cutthroat team loathed by the other racers. In their All-Stars appearance, they feuded multiple times with Eric and Danielle before being eliminated in Poland in 6th place.

4 Tara & Wil

The Amazing Race Season 2

The Separated Couple, Tara and Wil, are often regarded as the first team to be defined by their consistent infighting, insolent remarks, and overall ugly demeanor. While their antagonism was often directed at each other, they were no strangers to mixing with other teams. Moreover, Tara began flirting with rival racer Alex right before Wil's face, creating an uncomfortable and dysfunctional dynamic that made them difficult to watch during several challenges.

3 Zach & Flo

The Amazing Race Season 3

While Zach redeemed himself, Flo epitomized quarrelsome behavior on The Amazing Race with her consistent poor attitude, naysaying, and negative nastiness. 23-year-old Flo spent much of her time screaming at Zach for no good reason. In the race's second half, she began flirting with Drew with little regard for his twin brother, Derek. Flo became the first woman to win the race, making her an enviable villain for ages.

2 Freddy & Kendra

The Amazing Race Season 6

Due to Kendra's incendiary racial insults and flagrant shade-throwing, she and her fellow supermodel partner Freddy are among the absolute most hated villains in series history. The fact that they won season 6 makes them all the more villainous. Kendra made remarks too distasteful to repeat, while Freddy showed his true side by threatening to break a competitor in two. These two were indeed some of the worst players ever to compete.

1 Jonathan & Victoria

The Amazing Race Season 6

Jonathan and Victoria smiling at an event

Without question, the most villainous team in the history of The Amazing Race belongs to Jonathan and his wife, Victoria. Vein, solipsistic, and downright mean-spirited, Jonathan once physically shoved his wife after losing a race in . Jonathan treated Victoria with such disdain and disgust that it was sometimes hard to even tune into the broadcast. Unsurprisingly, they divorced in 2010.
