With season 26 having just come to an end, The Bachelor still has one of the most dedicated fan bases in all of reality television. Fans love sharing their opinions on who should get a rose and who should be sent home and with some of the most vocal fans on social media, Bachelor Nation isn't afraid to let the world know whether the final pick of the show was the right choice or not.
Over the course of 26 seasons, there are bound to be a few winners that fans don't like, but Reddit fans have taken it one step further, letting the world know who they don't think deserved the final rose.
Vienna Giradi (Season 14)
Season 14 of The Bachelor brought back pilot Jake Pavelka from season 5 of The Bachelorette. Jake gave his final rose to Vienna, but fans of the show didn't feel she was the right choice. Redditor mtnewcomb said, "I watched that season when I was legit a child, and I can thinking this guy made a huge mistake. That girl was a carbon copy of Paris Hilton (but not as cool.)."
Vienna's party girl attitude left fans questioning whether she was really on the show for love or fame. The couple proved fans right and have since broken up.
Susie Evans (Season 26)
Bachelor Nation has shared everything they hate about Clayton's season of The Bachelor on Reddit, including their disdain for his final pick, Susie. BachGirlie said, "The fact you played Clayton, and he ended up choosing you, and your plan failed? She didn't say she felt bad for hurting Clayton. She felt bad for herself because her plan fell through. You signed up for The Bachelor, Susie."
Other fans agreed that Susie hid her deal breakers from Clayton, and the couple should've been more truthful. Only time will tell if they stay together.
Courtney Robertson (Season 16)
Courtney Robertson was a bad winner on a great season of The Bachelor. Redditor Fallie said, "I found her to be unlikeable and very self-involved... She didn’t like that Ben liked to watch football with the guys because it meant he was ignoring her. Thought he was dumb for not being a 'true foodie' or something like that. Just overall super arrogant and snobbish."
Many fans agreed that Courtney and Ben weren't meant to be and were overall a toxic pairing. Courtney has since published a book that aims to change the public's opinion of her, arguing that the show's editing made her seem like a bad person.
Rachael Kirkconnell (Season 25)
Matt James' The Bachelor season was ruined by the problematic past of his final choice, Rachael. Early in the season, it emerged that Rachael had attended racist parties in college and liked racist posts on social media (per Cosmopolitan), meaning the entire season had an air of foreboding.
Redditor AnyChildhood1747 said, "I hated the storylines they forced upon us plus the big elephant in the room all throughout the season - about the F1. And nobody from the season (at least the lead and the F1) ever addressing it until AFR. I hate hate hated it." Other Redditors commented that the whole season felt toxic, and Matt's choice ruined the entire experience.
Nikki Ferrell (Season 18)
Juan Pablo's season is one of the most talked-about in all of Bachelor history. Fans thought that Claire was the clear winner of the season but were shocked when Juan Pablo sent her home and chose Nikki as his final pick.
Given that it was revealed that Juan Pablo told Claire he loved her fans. However, his choice to eliminate her was out of line and backhanded. Redditor Niecey2019 said, "I also hate that he basically told Clare that he was gonna pick her then picked Nikki, which is why she got mad and gave that speech at the end. The man was just a mess."
Hannah Ann Sluss (Season 24)
Even though she got the first impression rose Bachelor Nation didn't see Hannah Ann as someone who would go on to win the show. It was thought that innocent Madi Prewitt would go home with a proposal, but when she self eliminated, those dreams were dashed.
Pete's mother, Barabra, played a significant role in him choosing Hannah Ann. Chiinori said, "Let's be real; Babs only liked Hannah Ann because compared to Madi, in Babs' eyes, Hannah Ann adored her precious son." However, Hannah Ann has gained recently for dumping Pete and moving on with her life.
Lauren Bushnell (Season 20)
Lauren Bushnell was a fan favorite, and fans were happy to see her win, but they didn't feel that she deserved the rose because Ben wasn't fully honest with her. A who has since deleted their said,
A since deleted Reddit said, "Ben didn’t mess up by choosing Lauren over Jojo; he messed up by telling two women he loved them but actually only telling one of them about loving both before proposing....really, people should feel bad Lauren didn’t have the entire story; before accepting Ben’s proposal..." The couple did eventually break up but not before Lauren had her heart broken.
Becca Kufrin (Season 22)
Becca Kufrin appeared on Arie Luyendyk's season. Arie's season was filled with drama, and while it was entertaining for a time, fans found it boring.
Redditor Arie has married Lauren from his season.
Whitney Bischoff (Season 19)
Whitney Bischoff is another winner that fans loved but felt shouldn't have been chosen because Chris wasn't all in on their relationship. bachobserver said, "I just don't believe Chris was ever that into Whitney. She made the most sense on paper... I think he tried to return her feelings, but Becca is the one he really wanted in the end."
Chris and Whitney didn't last long after the show ended; however, they kept most of their breakup under wraps. Whitney made it clear on the show she wanted a family, and according to her Instagram, she now has everything she wanted with her husband, Ricky.
Cassie Randolph (Season 23)
In retrospect, season 23 of The Bachelor shouldn't have ever happened. Cassie Randolph tried to leave the show, but Colton Underwood pursued her in the infamous scene of him jumping a fence and begging her to stay. Fans couldn't understand why Colton was so determined to make her stay.
yogishanti12 said, "I watching this season and feeling confused about why Colton was forcing a connection with someone who clearly didn't want to be with him." The relationship went south quickly and resulted in Cassie getting a restraining order (per Jezebel). Colton has since come out as gay and is engaged.
