The series was an instant hit and was renamed Real World/Road Rules Challenge for season 2 before eventually being renamed The Challenge. Although rumors of the show's renewal have been circulating for months, Variety exclusively announced season 41 on May 7, 2025. Someone at a Reddit thread started by Nova Rogue thread claims the season started filming in February, 2025.

Who Will Be Competing On The New Season?
So far, only three cast are confirmed for CT also competed on The Traitors season 2, which he won with fellow The Challenge alum Trishelle Cannatella. Leroy is slightly newer to The Challenge, with season 41 being his 14th season.
