Director Sam Mendes will be making biopics for all four of The Beatles, and a June 2024 report suggested that Mescal had been approached to play Paul McCartney. It has not been officially announced that Mescal has been cast as Paul McCartney, but the actor revealed that he would love to take on the role in an October 2024 interview.
