The Family Chantel has showcased explosive drama, and it's time to talk about River Everett's life after season 5. The reality series featured many of the extended Everett-Jimeno clan, and River Everett (also known as Riverknight Everett) is Chantel's brother. Along with his parents, Karen and Thomas Everett, River was suspicious of Chantel Everett's fiance, Pedro Jimeno. The smoothly handsome Dominican Republic man Pedro has a mercenary mother and sister. He was a dream man who turned out to be Chantel's worst nightmare. Pedro and Chantel divorced, and their split was captured during season 5.

Yes, it was wild and even hilarious. However, Pedro's dynamic with River and the other Everetts wasn't exactly Leave It To Beaver.

Chantel first introduced Pedro to her family on 90 Day Fiancé - her relatives accused Pedro of using Chantel. Later on, in The Family Chantel, tensions reached such a high that younger brother River even got into a fistfight with Pedro. No one's advocating violence, but a tense dinner turned physical when the two warring families disagreed, as seen in the clip above.

Pedro and River got into it, and while he was reeling from the altercation, Pedro freaked out, kicking the food off the table. That definitely showed Pedro's dark side. Sure, he might have felt provoked, but most people wouldn't ruin a group's meal, which probably took hours to prepare, just out of spite. It was all wild and even hilarious. However, Pedro's dynamic with River and the other Everetts wasn't exactly Leave It To Beaver.

River Was Probably Glad They Broke Up

Pedro and Chantel's split unfolded in season 5. It was wrenching to see Chantel come to with the fact that Pedro had left her. River was probably glad it was over. While he'd mended fences with Pedro to an extent in the seasons following the dinner party from hell, ultimately, the trust just wasn't there.

A lot of bad blood was pumping under the surface, triggering suspicions, conflicts and disillusionment. In-law issues have ruined marriages before, so couples need to be "united fronts." They should never let their relatives tear them apart.

Chantel ended up the most disillusioned of all - unlike the others, she didn't seem to see the split coming. It devastated her. Her family, including her brother River, rallied around her, building her up after her crushing divorce. In 2024, Chantel gets a lot of emotional from her family. Pedro is considered a bad guy as he embraces life as a real estate agent in The Peach State, Georgia, USA. Chantel lives in Georgia too.

River Everett's Also Had Romances On The Family Chantel

He Dated A Woman Named Megan

During The Family Chantel season 3, River grabbed the spotlight thanks to his romance with a woman named Megan. He seemed quite smitten with his girlfriend and even mulled over:

"putting a ring on it."

However, he wasn't destined to find lasting love with the female, whose actions were sketchy at times. Perhaps Megan was chasing clout rather than sincerely trying to make things work with The Family Chantel son. Megan's a singer who models, so it's possible that she had an ulterior motive.

River and Megan had an "age gap" romance - Megan was the older one. She is a mother. While they had music in common, in many other ways, they were in different stages of life. Megan, as a parent, needs to embrace "adulting." River is basically free to do what he pleases, albeit with his family breathing down his neck. So, it wasn't that surprising when the woman he'd introduced to viewers in the show's third installment didn't become his "forever" match. Since River is a Cancer man, born in July, it's not surprising that he was attracted to a mother. Cancer men are nurturers, and they are often very close to their own mothers. In fact, they can put moms on pedestals, seeing them as the epitome of femininity. Also, it's not shocking that he chose an older woman, since Cancer men typically want to be "mothered" by partners.

River might be happier with someone his own age, so he can build a life with them and enjoy "firsts" together, such as having children.

River has been exploring his interest in music, which he shares with his just over 100K Instagram followers. On YouTube, five months ago, River posted an audio track, "Paved The Way," as seen above. In November 2020, he began promoting his musical career, releasing his single “Got It” on all platforms. He announced the following month that Apple Music had added his single to the playlist, “The New Atlanta.”

His family is ive of his career choice. His fun and fiery mother Karen shared his music on social media and praised his work. River lists a number for bookings and features and is also available on Cameo for paid video messages and chats. The Atlanta native seems to model in his spare time.

He's been spotted in Gucci clothes, so River clearly has a ion for fashion.

The Family Chantel season 5 is over now. However, since the family are active on social media, including River, Pedro, Chantel, Karen and Thomas, there are ways to keep tabs on them. While River doesn't have a lot of YouTube subscribers yet (right now, as of July 2024, he has 3.25K followers on that platform), he may become a more powerful YouTuber in the future.
