With fantastic professional judges and a couple of comedic hosts, the series has proven to be both creative, and hilarious at times. With eleven seasons (and counting) to its name since beginning in 2010, the show has consistently proven to be popular, and while there are similarities, there have been changes to the judges and hosts. Plus, the contestants are the ones that truly make or break the show. But if fans had to pick, which season would they say deserves the 'Hollywood Handshake,' and which was the baking equivalent of a soggy bottom?

However, the series didn't quite push the boat out with its comedy at this point. One of the best elements of the show is the comedy and the cheeky jokes that are brought, and that's something that came more as the show developed.

From the judges to the hosts, and even the bakers themselves, there were a lot of funny innuendos and one-liners that made this season enjoyable.

The final was also one of the greatest episodes of all time, with all three bakers being genuinely fantastic in an episode that saw s huge mistakes take place within it as well, which added to the drama.

Outside of that, this show had some great bakers and it made the season quite tense and unpredictable in of who was expected to win. This season blended the comedy with real quality baking, bringing a perfect mix.

The most recent season of The Great British Baking Show saw a change take place, with legendary comedian Matt Lucas ing the show as a host to replace Sandy Toksvig. After Sandy made the announcement that she would not be participating He brought a new element of comedy to a show that did have a lot of change due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The bakers all stayed in a bubble together, putting in real commitment, and while the quality of the baking was slightly lower than normal, the relaxed and fun atmosphere was just what the world needed at the time. The show was a breath of fresh air for people, and contestants, such as Lottie and Linda, brought a great deal of personality to the show.

Season 7

This was the final season of The Great British Baking Show on BBC before its switch to Channel 4 in the UK. However, it rounded out the season brilliantly. One of the reasons this show is so good is because the contestants typically bond well, they help each other out and work together.

Season seven exemplified that better than most. The show saw some amazing baking take place, with eventual winner Candice dominating throughout the series. However, even past that, the other contestants were great too, and in Mary Berry's final season on the show, she brought a lot of comedy, reminding everyone how great she is.

Season 10 of The Great British Bake Off was another very enjoyable one. Sandy and Noel had worked together twice before at this point, and their comedic timing in this particular season was sensational, having great back and forth jokes with the contestants.

While The Great British Baking Show is normally drama-free, that wasn't the case with season five, and it made this particular season a memorable one. #BinGate is one of the funniest moments that the show has ever seen, where Diana Beard took Ian Watters' ice cream out of the freezer, which led to it melting as he threw it away.

However, the series had other amazing moments, like Enwezor decided to use shop-bought icing on a baking show, which also caused real controversy. The personalities within this one were over the top and Mel and Sue's reactions to everything only made this season funnier.

Season 8

Season eight saw a lot of changes come to the show, with Prue Leith ing as the judge, replacing Mary Berry, and Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig becoming the new hosts of the show. All of the changes obviously brought a risk factor, but it's something that absolutely paid off.

The eventual winner, Nadiya is one of the most well-known bakers from this show and someone who was amazing to watch. Her personality shone through in every episode, which led to an amazing winner's speech that still stands out as one of the greatest moments in the show's history.
