On Instagram, Schwarzenegger and Alan Ritchson shared a set photo from their Christmas comedy, The Man with the Bag. In March 2024, when The Man with the Bag was first announced, it was reported that it was aiming to shoot later this year. Now, eight months later during the holiday season, the set photo confirms that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Alan Ritchson's Christmas comedy is officially filming. With shooting having begun, and expected to last for several months, The Man with the Bag should be finished and ready to be released in time for the 2025 holiday season.

With a script written by Allan Rice, the plot of The Man with the Bag begins with Santa's magical bag being stolen, and he is forced to enlist the help of a former thief from his naughty list named Vance to find it. With the help of Santa, his daughter, and a team of quirky elves, Vance must execute the most daring heist of his career to save Christmas. There's no confirmation yet on the cast's roles, though it's assumed that Schwarzenegger is playing Santa, and Ritchson is playing Vance.
The Man with the Bag is directed by Adam Shankman, known for helming several hit comedies, including The Wedding Planner, Bringing Down The House, Hairspray, and What Men Want.

The Man with the Bag set photo, featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Alan Ritchson, bears a striking resemblance to Red One, Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans' recent Christmas movie. Though it was cleverly packaged, Red One not only struggled commercially but was panned by critics as a lackluster action-adventure completely devoid of holiday spirit. Despite the presence of charismatic action stars, it sounds like The Man with the Bag could succumb to many of those same pitfalls.
