Love Island USA season 6 was an iconic season of reality TV, and I don't know if Love Island USA season 7 is going to live up to the hype. While I think the Love Island USA season 7 cast looks like a great mix of contestants, I'm not sure if they're going to be able to bring the same level of authentic drama to the show that last year's cast did, especially so effortlessly. I'm hopeful it'll be great, but I'm not holding my breath.

Love Island USA season 6 was an iconic season of reality TV, and I don't know if Love Island USA season 7 is going to live up to the hype. While I think the Love Island USA season 7 cast looks like a great mix of contestants, I'm not sure if they're going to be able to bring the same level of authentic drama to the show that last year's cast did, especially so effortlessly. Should Alien: Earth cross over with Predator?

Audiences have been speculating about a Predator crossover in Alien: Earth, with the new FX series' trailer hinting at a Yautja appearing on the show. I'm open to this if the Predator is just a minor one-off villain, as these worlds have already connected before. My main hope is that it wouldn't be too distracting, as I'd like the show to prioritize the Alien universe world-building.

Does John Wick have legs as a franchise beyond Keanu Reeves?

Ballerina's reviews are decent, and I'm not trying to diminish anyone involved in the film. However, with The Continental being a failure and now Ballerina projected to have a relatively underwhelming box office run, I have doubts about future spin-offs like Donnie Yen's Caine. If you take John Wick out of John Wick, it's just another action movie, especially now that Chad Stahelski's style has become so common in the genre. Audiences love Keanu Reeves, and I think that was the more appealing aspect of the original movies, not the world-building.

How does the first full trailer for Alien: Earth look?

I have nothing but positive things to say about Noah Hawley as a television creator, and I've long maintained that his Alien show will be excellent. The first full trailer appears to be evidence of this. The production value looks outstanding, the cast all look fantastic, and the CG for the Xenomorphs and other species looks like movie quality. I can't wait for the show to be released in August.

Is Superman's runtime long enough?

Honestly, I would sit down in the theater for a three-hour Superman movie any day, but for the intents and purposes of the DCU, two hours and nine minutes is perfect. It's long enough to establish an overarching DC story, introduce its massive cast of characters, and tell a meaningful, individual story, while not dragging on for too long and pushing casual audiences away.

Will you be playing Marvel's new fighting game?

I've never been much of a fighting games fan, but the aesthetic of Marvel's new title certainly appeals to me. If Marvel Rivals is any example, I'm expecting this new game to be yet another labor of love that embraces the identity of Marvel comics, and I'd love to play it. I'd really like to see a fighting game that has the couch co-op player-versus-player potential of Super Smash Bros.

How does Wicked: For Good's first trailer look?

As expected, Wicked: For Good looks to be taking the first movie up a notch. Everything about the trailer excites me, bringing out the world-building qualities and darker narrative that were established by the end of the first one. I'm all for the singing and the fun performances, but I'm excited for audiences to embrace the more mature story that everyone knows is coming.

Who should direct a potential new Alien vs. Predator movie?

Since Dan Trachtenberg revived the Predator brand with Prey, and Fede Álvarez did the same for Alien with Romulus, the question of a new Alien vs. Predator movie is swirling, particularly since the next Predator movie, Killer of Killers, shows a Xenomorph skull. While Trachtenberg and Álvarez have done well with their series, part of me thinks if one gets made, it should be directed by someone with a somewhat tongue-in-cheek approach to their works, as I personally feel like the crossover works better when not taking itself too seriously. A few great candidates in my mind are Radio Silence, as their work on Scream, Abigail and Ready or Not feels well-suited for the AvP world, as does Eli Roth, Justin Simien, and even Chad Stahelski.

Is Blumhouse acquiring the Saw franchise a good idea?

After being tly owned by Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures for over 20 years, Blumhouse is now looking to acquire the latter's stake in the Saw franchise, and I actually think it's a very promising development for the series. Not only does Blumhouse continue to be a major player in the horror genre, but their recent merger with James Wan's Atomic Monster actually gives me hope he'll return either to direct a new installment, or to at least help develop the next few stories, particularly after the eleventh movie stalled in development.

I'm honestly surprised by Ballerina's reviews.

As the movie heads into theaters, reviews have been rolling out for Ballerina, and critics are generally enjoying the John Wick franchise spinoff, netting it a 75% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Honestly, I'm really surprised, as the fact the reviews were embargoed for this long, paired with the varying reports of its reshoots, made me worried it'd be closer to The Continental's performance. But, I had always held out hope for it to be good, both for my love of the series and Ana de Armas, so I'm definitely more assured now.

Theo James, known for projects like the Divergent movie franchise and The White Lotus, has become one of the favorite candidates to take over the role of James Bond for the 007 franchise reboot. I would love to see that happen, as the actor has shown in Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen series on Netflix that he has what it takes to provide the same kind of mysterious and charismatic performance most of the beloved versions of James Bond are known for. Is Marvel's Wolverine game ever coming out?

Marvel's Wolverine was revealed by Insomniac Games all the way back in September 2021. Due to the major hack that the company faced and all the details from the game that leaked, including footage, concept art, character reveals, and more, we haven't had any solid information on the game in quite some time. At the moment, I'm having a hard time believing Marvel's Wolverine will ever come out, especially with other superhero games like Monolith's Wonder Woman and Cliffhanger Games' Black Panther getting scrapped. It's just not looking great for now.

Madame Web's box office sits at $100.5 million, which is terrible for a superhero movie. While Dakota Johnson's performance as Cassandra Webb was not particularly exciting, I don't blame her for the movie's failure. Recently, the actress talked to the Los Angeles Times about the film's issues, revealing that Madame Web started as a completely different project but was changed by decisions made by "people who don’t have a creative bone in their body." Johnson also claimed its failure wasn't her fault. Madame Web's most glaring issues were its story and dialogue, which were boring and convoluted, not the cast.

The Man In My Basement teaser trailer is terrifying enough, we don't need a full trailer.

The Man In My Basement teaser trailer offers more than enough of the story to have me super intrigued. As someone who did not read the book, I have no idea what is happening, but I cannot wait to find out. Willem Dafoe is perfectly creepy, and I would probably take his money too if he offered to pay me that much a day, but something is clearly not right here. I worry that a full trailer will reveal too much and take away from the surprises, so if Hulu releases one, I will skip watching it so that I can go into the movie knowing next to nothing about it.

Kiss of the Spider Woman is not at all what I expected it to be, but after that trailer, I cannot wait to see it.

With a title like Kiss of the Spider Woman, I expected the film to be a horror movie. I knew nothing about it at all going into the trailer, which seems to prove that this is absolutely not the case. That said, it drew me in, and now it is one of my most anticipated movies for the second half of the year. Diego Luna is always incredible, as he is insanely talented, so surely he will be amazing in this movie, and Jennifer Lopez sure can sing. Something about the cuts between the musical (which must be in the main character's head) and the devastating life they are living has me very, very intrigued. I cannot wait.

How does the early gameplay footage of The Witcher 4 look?

I can't express how excited I am for The Witcher 4, and every bit of gameplay footage is just going to drive me more insane until the game is out. Everything in today's video of the game looked gorgeous. I've considered video game graphics to be at their asymptote for years, wondering if sequels like this would be worthwhile for anything other than story updates, but it looks fantastic, and the mechanics they displayed are incredibly in-depth.
