It has been reported that Destin Daniel Cretton is in talks to direct Spider-Man 4. Cretton already has MCU experience with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. I thought he did a great job with that movie, especially with the fight scenes. I think he’s a great choice for Spider-Man 4, and I like that he has a superhero movie background.

I'm glad the How To Train Your Dragon live-action director pursued the movie to avoid a soulless remake.

Dean DeBlois decided to return to direct the How To Train Your Dragon live-action movie after helming the animated trilogy to ensure that the movie was not going to be "yet another soulless remake." I'm ecstatic that he made that decision, as I loved the animated franchise, and everything I've seen from the live-action remake has been thrilling. If there is one person I trust with the franchise, it is DeBlois, so I can't wait to watch the movie.

Can Marvel's The Fantastic Four: First Steps make $1 billion at the box office?

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is the owner of the second biggest first day of pre-sales in 2025, only sured by James Gunn's Superman movie. Based on that, I think there is a very real possibility that the two movies could the $1 billion mark, as they are performing better than A Minecraft Movie and Disney's live-action version of Lilo & Stitch. The former is at $951.4 million, while the latter is projected to $1 billion. Due to the MCU's track record with $1 billion earners and a possible Avengers movie connection, I think it has great chances.

Is the Superman movie's heat vision use exciting?

The new Superman movie trailer showed the first look at David Corenswet's Man of Steel using his heat vision in the DCU film. Superman unleashes his powers on what appear to be Lex Luthor's robotic troops, and he does a lot of damage. Beyond its destructive might, I found the way Superman's heat vision leaves the area around his eyes with a red burn mark very creative, and I can't wait to see more.

Should Sister Wives continue to a season 20?

Honestly, I think Sister Wives has run its course. The storylines are starting to feel repetitive, and it’s tough to watch the same emotional cycles play out over and over. I used to be really invested, but now it feels like the show is more about dragging out the drama than giving any real resolution. How can Love Island USA do more to vet their cast ?

Love Island USA season 7 has been called out for not vetting their cast as well as they possibly could, and moving forward, they need to do more to ensure the cast is being created appropriately. It feels like every season, there’s at least one contestant with problematic behavior or a sketchy social media trail. I think background checks should be more thorough, and maybe even psychological evaluations could help.

Can Ballerina stand on its own as a John Wick spin-off franchise?

While I think Ballerina definitely has the potential to stand on its own, I'm not sure it's the right fit for a full-blown franchise. Ana de Armas is a strong lead, and as the action choreography and world-building are like the John Wick movies, it's becoming a hit. That said, Ballerina would need to move forward to another film with a clear identity so it doesn’t just feel like John Wick-lite.

Will fans be excited about the Steven Universe spin-off or is it coming too late?

Steven Universe is beloved by fans, and for good reason. It is one of my favorite series. I often revisit it, especially my favorite episodes and songs. Learning that there is going to be a spin-off series has me over the moon excited - especially knowing it is following one of my favorite characters, Lars. When we last saw him in the finale, I was hoping to learn more of his life after leaving. Now we will with Steven Universe: Lars Of The Stars. Even though it has been five years already, and likely at least six or seven by the time this releases, I think fans will click play on day one to see what Lars has been up to and immerse themselves back into this world.

Is Riri Williams using magically enhanced armor in Ironheart enough to set her apart from Iron Man?

One of the biggest concerns about the Ironheart series is that Riri Williams would simply be a Tony Stark / Iron Man replacement and not make enough of a place in the MCU for herself. With the latest trailer, that seems to not be the case as it is revealed she is using magically enhanced armor. In Marvel Comics, Stark is a mentor for her and the two work together closely, so I was curious how they were going to get away with not being able to do that in the series. I like this twist, especially since we know she is going to be going up against magic (The Hood).

I can't believe Sabrina Carpenter is putting out another album so soon (but am totally here for it).

Sabrina Carpenter just announced that her new album, Man's Best Friend, is coming out at the end of August, just over a year after her previous album, Short & Sweet, was released. She claims that inspiration struck and she wrote twelve tracks for a new album. One can assume a lot of this had to do with her relationship with Barry Keoghan, but who knows for sure. Personally, I cannot wait for this release, especially since I have had Manchild stuck in my head ever since it dropped. I do hope she gets some rest soon though! Between the tour, playing festivals, and working on this album, she must be exhausted. Although she learned from one of the best, Taylor Swift, so this work ethic of hers doesn't surprise me at all.

Destination X brought Peter Weber and JaNa Craig, from The Traitors and Love Island USA respectively, into the mix in the most recent episode, and things are already changing in the game. While I'm ready to see them both compete on the geo-guesser show, I'm a little nervous at their ability to build connections so late in the game. Will Materialists be worth watching in theatres?

I truly can't wait to see Celine Song's Materialists, and I hope it's going to be the movie of the summer. Nintendo delaying the live-action Legend of Zelda movie actually gives me a lot of faith in it.

The Legend of Zelda live-action movie has pushed its release date back a couple months, now set for a May 7, 2027 arrival, and while this would normally make me worried about a movie's chances at getting made, I actually have a lot more faith in it since Nintendo appears to have had a big hand in the delay. Shigeru Miyamoto himself announced it on Twitter and said they want to "take the extra time to make the film as good as it can be", which after The Super Mario Bros. Movie is a welcome relief, especially since Zelda is going for live-action, a much trickier one to pull off with the fantasy setting of the games.
