<em>The Conners</em> season 7 set up a storyline for Darlene that saw her feel torn over her emotional affair with Chad, while still complaining about her marital issues with Ben, but it didn't really go anywhere. I was glad to see Darlene have some perspective, especially as she's always had a rough time when it came to relationships, but the resolution to it all was very anticlimactic. I wasn't swingiing one way or another when it came to Ben and Chad, but Chad had so much screentime throughout the season, I really expected Darlene to end up with him.
