There are a lot of movies that center around the Civil War, including 2024's Civil War, which I think is fantastic, but I do not think it is the best Civil War movie. Glory is top tier, but there is one that is completely underrated that people often forget about or do not know exists, and that is 1993's Gettysburg. Because it is four and a half hours long, viewers tend to shy away from it, but I would argue it is worth watching and makes good use of every second of its runtime. The length allows the movie to go into detail covering the events of the Battle of Gettysburg in a captivating and intriguing way. Plus, the actors all deliver unforgettable performances.
