This year is just about half over, and it has already given us so many great movies. There have been major box office hits, like Disney's Lilo & Stitch live-action remake, and incredible movies that completely flew under the radar, like Companion. Marvel's Thunderbolts* is a fantastic movie. A return to form for Marvel that not only feels grounded, but is unafraid to explore mental health in a way that needs to be seen on the big screen. Unfortunately, it is considered a box office flop, not earning enough to make its budget back, which seems ridiculous to me. But if I had to pick the most underrated movie, it would be Companion. This original horror movie is phenomenal. It has great lead performances from Jack Quaid and Sophie Thatcher, an intriguing and relatable story, and is an absolute blast. I hate that people slept on it.
